Phoenix Metals will start drilling five rigs simultaneously across the Phoenix Target Area, including Phoenix South, JD/Golden Crown, Phoenix Deep, and Blue Bell, alongside the ongoing Lexington program, following receipt of an amended exploration permit. CEO Nicholas Campbell was interviewed by Mining Stock Daily. The company is advancing the Greenwood Precious Metals Project, a 12,888-hectare copper-gold district near Grand Forks, BC, built in partnership with the Osoyoos Indian Band and anchored by existing brownfield infrastructure, including a permitted mill, tailings facility, roads, and power.
Pecoy Copper CEO Vincent Metcalfe joins Mining Stock Daily to discuss a busy summer at the company’s flagship copper project in Peru. Metcalfe reviews continued expansion of the South Breccia, including broad mineralized intercepts extending beyond the historical pit shell, alongside new near-surface copper discoveries and the emerging MTP-01 geophysical target. With four drill rigs now active, Pecoy is advancing a 35,000-metre program ahead of a planned resource update in early 2027. Metcalfe also discusses strategic partnership interest, upcoming technical studies, and the company’s goal of significantly growing Pecoy beyond its current 6.5-billion-pound copper resource.
American Pacific Mining CEO Warwick Smith and Managing Director of Exploration Eric Saderholm join Mining Stock Daily to discuss the company's best drill result yet at the Madison Copper-Gold Project in Montana. Hole M26C-02, a step-out from earlier high-grade intercepts at Madison and Broadway, returned 30.8 metres of massive sulfide, including 20.1 metres of 11.15 g/t gold, 14.3 g/t silver and 0.42% copper, with the zone thickening and remaining open to the southwest. Smith and Saderholm explain how the result fits into the spring's 15,000-metre program and what a planned follow-up hole is designed to test next.
Blue Moon Metals, The Elmet Group and EQ Resources have announced a US$150 to $175 million investment into the Springer Tungsten Complex. Franco-Nevada announced a second financing package with Minerals 260 for the Bullabulling gold project in Western Australia. Guardian Metal Resources has reported drilling that supports resource growth at its Pilot Mountain tungsten project in Nevada. Hercules Metals has identified evidence for a new porphyry centre at its Hook target. Talisker Resources has provided a 2026 operational update from the Bralorne Gold Project. Institutional Shareholder Services has recommended shareholders of TNR Gold vote for the dissident nominees put forward by Eucalyptus Resources.

George Ogilvie, the new CEO of Hercules Metals, joins Trevor Hall for an in-depth conversation on the playbook behind building value in junior mining companies—and why he believes Hercules Metals and its Leviathan copper discovery in Idaho could be his next major success.
Ogilvie reflects on more than three decades in mining and the lessons behind two notable exits: rebuilding Rubicon Minerals into Battle North Gold before its acquisition by Evolution Mining, and advancing Arizona Sonoran Copper’s Cactus project before its acquisition by Hudbay. He explains how he evaluates geology, infrastructure, jurisdiction, permitting, capital allocation and management—and why knowing when to sell can be just as important as knowing how to build.
The conversation then turns to Hercules Metals and the Leviathan copper porphyry discovery in Idaho. George explains what attracted his team to the project, why exploration will initially become more focused on Leviathan, and how additional drill rigs could accelerate both resource definition and news flow. With only a portion of Hercules' large land package explored, George discusses the potential scale of the system and why proving up a new U.S. copper district could define the next chapter of his career.
The discussion also covers the realities of junior mining promotion, why management teams sometimes stay too long, the importance of matching leadership skills to each stage of mine development, and George's framework for deciding when shareholders are better served by accepting an acquisition rather than continuing independently.

K2 Gold CEO Anthony Margarit joins Mining Stock Daily following another batch of high-grade oxide gold results from the Dragonfly Zone at the Mojave Project in California. Anthony discusses the emerging continuity of multiple stacked structures, indications that mineralized zones may widen at depth, and how real-time geochemical data is improving drill targeting. We also discuss what K2 still needs to demonstrate across Mojave to support its larger-scale ambitions and what continued drilling could mean for the project's valuation.
Collective Mining Executive Chairman Ari Sussman joins Mining Stock Daily following the release of the maiden mineral resource estimate for the Apollo deposit, totaling approximately 5.4 million gold-equivalent ounces across indicated and inferred categories. Sussman discusses the larger-than-expected open-pit component, high-grade Ramp zone and the significant amount of drilling completed since the resource cutoff that could drive future growth. He also outlines an accelerated development strategy that could see permitting applications submitted in 2027, while continued drilling at Ramp remains central to a potential large-scale mining operation at Guayabales.
New drill results are out from Talon Metals, Tocvan Ventures, 1911 Gold, Gold X2 and Hemlo Mining. We have corporate updates to report from Sierra Madre Gold and Silver, Coppernico Metals and Cabral Gold.

Power Metallic is looking ahead to publishing a preliminary economic assessment in the first half of 2027 after releasing its mineral resource estimate this week for its Lion Zone, showing 3.9% copper equivalent with 85% of the resource classified as Indicated and 59% open pittable. CEO Terry Lynch spoke to Mining Stock Daily. Lynch outlined a mine sequence funded by open pit cash flow, addressed the unresolved question of where the system's nickel component sits at depth, and pointed to an exploration update due in the fall alongside a pending Nasdaq listing.
