Have you been running so fast for so long that you've never stopped to think "how do I make my life easier?". As an entrepreneur, we have a hard time asking for help even though we need far more help than the average person to reach our full potential. I call this the entrepreneur's dilemma. It's so much easier today than it has ever been to take care of things through systems. There are services out there that you can use to save money, save time and buy parts of your life back! We can always use more time with our families, more time for self-care and more time for the strategic parts of our business that we never seem to get to. When you have the time, you see the future with a much clearer perspective.
In the right context joint ventures, partnerships, affiliates, and endorsements can all be incredible but do your due diligence because list vampires are brutal. A list vampire will have a broad business opportunity for something very generic, they sell hope and dream products. If you are contacted by one of these people be cautious, slow down and do your research or they will hurt your relationship with your customers.
Eat your own dog food, what does that even mean? When this phrase was first shared with me I had no idea! In essence, it means we must do on the inside everything we say on the outside. We have to apply everything we sell to other people. In my company and in my personal life this is something I follow obsessively. I use my programs, my wife uses them, my kids are starting to use them and my whole team uses them at work and in their individual lives. That's how we know it works and it's going to have a dramatic effect on you. We want to make sure that we are always an example of our content. If you're coaching something and you're not applying it yourself, you're a liability.
If you're in a place right now where you're facing resistance and you feel like all the cards are stacked against you, congratulations! It means you're probably doing something right. Most people face the slightest bit of resistance and give up. Look for the light at the end of the tunnel and understand that this is an opportunity. If you have that crazy voice in the back of your mind that says you are meant for more, then you owe it to yourself to press forward and break through the resistance. You are an Evolutionary Hunter and we are made to face resistance.
The day you commit to a new coach you start envisioning your future, it becomes more important and it becomes exponentially more real. If you hire the wrong coach all of those dreams will come crashing down. To find the right coach for you, you need to determine where your pain points lie and inventory the pressure and noise you are feeling. You need to determine if the coach you're looking at is an appropriate cultural fit for your company. Choosing the right coach can change everything, the right coach can get you out of the pain you're feeling today and propel you forward with momentum.
The most dangerous person in your organization is the person who is not fully utilized. I obsessively review my organizational chart, I review my team's roles and I ask myself is this person fully utilized? If they're not I have to make a change immediately. If you have someone on your team who is not fully utilized they will go looking for things to do to justify their position, this may be things you don't necessarily want them to be doing and it can be frustrating and challenging for everyone in your company. Know what your team members are doing and think about what you need from them to move your business forward.
"I just hit a million dollars, let me show you how! " Is this an advertisement you've seen recently? The marketing tells you once you've hit that million dollar mark you've made it, you'll have the mansion, the exotic car and it will all be so easy. The perfect million dollar business is a myth. The reality is growth creates complexity. When you hit a million dollars the demands to you for the business are off the charts. Without systems and frameworks around you, it just gets harder. When you understand strategic planning and can build an infrastructure you don't have to stop at a million dollars. You can keep going and make the impact you've always wanted to make on the world. Getting to a million dollars is a milestone, not a destination.
Hiring a good assistant can almost double your productivity. A good assistant is someone who wants to support you like crazy and that person is going to want clarity as to what that actually means. Your assistant needs to have a documented position with clear expectations to succeed. A lack of explicit expectations equals a lack of confidence in the role. Provide your assistant with clarity and they will charge forward with momentum.

If you're running a business, listen up, building a company on an unstable foundation will leave you exposed and unprotected. The new world of DIY legal services online is exposing entrepreneurs to a host of liabilities. A lot of people don't take care of the legal issues and challenges associated with starting a corporation for fear of the expense, some attorneys out there are taking advantage of the rush of entrepreneurs wanting to start a corporation and are overcharging for their services, avoid them. Find a good attorney, good legal advice is worth your money and it may not cost as much as you might think. I want to make sure you're building only on a solid foundation and will be protected moving forward.
When you think negative thoughts about yourself, who is really talking? Is it you or is it somebody else? For most people, what they were taught about themselves as children, becomes the baggage they carry around through life. As an entrepreneur you are incredibly important to the people on your team, the comments you make influence them and become a part of their inner voice. If you unload your frustration, irritation & anger on your team you shatter their confidence. I tell my team how much confidence I have in them and build them up! You have an incredible impact on those who choose to work with you and if you want to honor the impact you create as an entrepreneur you need to remember that you help create your team's inner voice.
