Over the last 20 years of working with entrepreneurs, it is shocking how often people tell them that there is something wrong with their children. I spoke with a friend of mine today whose son is three, he has been in school for less than a week, and they already had a meeting with his wife to let him know that he is "behind" academically.
How can a three-year-old be behind academically?!?
They told them that, in addition to not sitting still, he doesn't color inside of the lines. I told him to go to the school with a Picasso, a Degas, and a Matisse and ask them which one of the three colored within the lines? I wish I could say this is shocking, but I hear the stories all the time. Entrepreneurs are told there is something wrong with our kids. Children who can't sit still, think for themselves, ask questions, and want to change things are seen as academically challenged or disruptive. The problem isn't with children who are motivated to do more, be more and show who they are. The problem is with systems that have the stated goal of creating standardized human beings. Something needs to change, or entrepreneurial kids will continue to suffer.
Bio hacking has become mainstream, and it feels like everyone is doing it. The reality is that the bio hacking community is made up of people like us.
We are physiologically sensitive momentum based beings that are highly sensitive to constraint.
Most of the population has realized that by optimizing ourselves, we optimize our results and our momentum.
There is one bio-hack, one habit, that will improve everything else you do and help you optimize faster.
If you don't pay attention to this keystone habit, it doesn't matter what else you do; you will not optimize.
Obsession around routine is a trait that is shared by the vast majority of successful entrepreneurs in history. Sooner or later somewhere on our journey, we realize that success is important to us and we should make it a habit. One of the keystone habits of success is a morning routine, done correctly it will allow you to get more accomplished in the first hour of the day than many people accomplish all week. In this episode, I share the strategies behind morning routines for people like us and a detailed review of my scientifically supported routine that is taken me several decades to develop.
Individually self-made billionaires look fundamentally different. When we compare one against the other, it's hard to see what makes them similar, and easy to see what makes them eccentric and unique. Through obsessive research of successful people throughout history, I developed the 10 Habits of the Self Made Billionaire. I was able to confirm and get even closer to the results these patterns created in my professional career when I worked side-by-side with and consulted with individuals who went from somewhat humble beginnings to 10 figure wealth and massive contribution. The secret is, self-made billionaires are just like you and I, only with the habits that create success. The good news is, you can adopt these habits as well, and you don't have to be a billionaire.

On a Saturday afternoon in Southern California I recorded a podcast with Daniel Gefen who was on the other side of the world in Israel. Even though we have never met before, in the hour we spent together we recognized we were brothers and we had more than we could ever imagine in common. During our podcast, Daniel explained to me how he felt complacent and was having trouble getting motivated to continue to grow his business and make more money. We pick up where I share with Daniel what motivates me even though I enjoy a very high level of financial security and success. What followed felt magical. I shared my true feelings with Daniel and everyone listening, and he shared an extraordinary story of his grandfather and the Holocaust and the realizations he had about being an Entrepreneurial Personality Type. This is a conversation I will never forget.
The entrepreneur getting out of a luxury or exotic car is a picture that has been taken so many times of successful people that it has become a cliché. I believe the reality is much different. We are physiologically sensitive, momentum based beings that are highly sensitive to constraints. When we turn the key to a car, it becomes an extension of our physiological capability that empowers us in a unique way that only the evolutionary hunter would understand. There is a reason why entrepreneurs love cars, both male, and female, and it may surprise you.
Every successful entrepreneur has had to overcome, deal with issues, and create success when everyone around them thought it was an impossibility. We have all felt the pain of not knowing how we could create momentum but every one of us has somehow broken through and moved forward anyway. It's this very resilience that makes us entrepreneurial personality types. However, it is also this resilience that can cause us to tolerate far too much.
Any successful person can explain to you how they created momentum and achieved success. For those of us who can extract the lessons from their stories and apply them, this is useful. I have found it is infinitely more useful to show entrepreneurs how they individually create success. As we examine your momentum equation, we will discover the exact path you individually take to create momentum in your life and your business. As you go through the exercise in this episode, you may be surprised to find that there is a consistency to how you create momentum. What once seemed like random periods of your life where you created massive forward progress, are now easily identifiable, and more importantly repeatable.
There is an epidemic in the coaching industry today. The vast majority of "coaches" are selling a result they've never gotten themselves. Hundreds of entrepreneurs are reaching out for help, being vulnerable, and asking for protection and support only to be let down. Asking for help is one of the hardest things we do, and when it doesn't work out it makes it even harder to do it again. There is a reason we stay in abusive relationships, our default thinking is that we are the problem, there is something wrong with us, and everybody else must be succeeding. Unfortunately, in many cases this isn't the case, some coaches have spent all of their time learning how to sell themselves, and very little time learning how to get a result. In my book, the only measure of my success is the success of my clients. Every great coach or consultant sees the world this way. In this episode, I describe how to tell if you are in an abusive coaching relationship, and why you should get out.
