Many survivors of a Covert Narcissist on a healing journey are very cautious about engaging in another close relationship in case they should be unlucky enough to meet another narcissist. This hyper vigilance in relation to trusting another person is very understandable and discernment is definitely advised. However it would be the best success to overcome all the Narcissist tried to do and re emerge with a strong belief in the good in people. To that end this podcast lists 14 signs a person could potentially have indicators that they are highly narcissistic upon your initial and earlier encounters. The list is not exhaustive and neither does it predict for certain a person is a narcissist notwithstanding should they tick the box on all 14 points. Two very important manipulations utilised by a covert narcissist and often overlooked are that of hooking and isolating their primary source of narcissistic supply from family, friends and locality. This manoeuvre is essential to establish full control over their target in order to illicit early, full and exclusive supply. The narcissist also uses a hook at this early stage to validate their new partner by escalating and creating any old arguments or relationship niggles within the targets main support structure. However, once the narcissist has established isolation and full control of their target they often then revert to the additional familial supply sources using a leverage option of negotiating peace between all warring parties, albeit it the war was generated by the narcissist themselves. This is a diabolical double trade and needs to be handled by the targets family in a similar way to the British Royal Families management of Prince Harry and the narcissistic style and actions taken by Megan Markle in my opinion. I have assessed Behaviours and actions in the public domain of this high profile duo to demonstrate the typical behaviour of a narcissist as outlined above. Narcissists generally always hoover their ex targets whether romantic partners, family members or friends. They hoover for various reasons but principally to either control or obtain narcissistic supply from old sources of supply. Hoovering is part four of the covert narcissist’s behaviour cycle, the forerunning parts of which are lovebombing, devaluation and discard. In order to maximise a positive hoovering result, ie. Successfully hoovering/sucking back into the relationship their former target, emotive occasions are utilised in full force. Predictably the narcissist will pick special occasions and annual recurring events such as the holidays, thanks giving, Christmas etc where sentimentality and emotions run high. People are often emotionally vulnerable around such occasions as memories of better times may come to mind. The narcissist understands this vulnerability will more easily Segway an opportunity to break through any boundaries that their former target may have in place. Basically, expect the narcissist to be more likely to Hoover around the holidays.

There is an ongoing debate trending particularly on YouTube that malignant narcissism is the direct result of childhood trauma and is simply a mental health disorder or condition resulting from this early life experience. There is a lot of emphasis on debunking any theory that does not fully support this simplistic and frankly disproven science based conclusion of a far more complex malignant behaviour pattern. The behaviours of narcissists can be highly destructive to the extent that they severely negatively impact the lives of their targets. The twist or cleansing of these malign behaviours is the idea that the narcissist suffered a difficult childhood and therefore compassion and an intellectual forgiveness must be sought. Where this twist to another’s destruction is understandable it diverts away from the fact that the acts perpetuated by a narcissist can be described as evil, and the narcissist is aware they cause pain, but justify that by saying the person deserves to be treated badly. This podcast seeks to straighten things out by looking to the spiritual energy surrounding malignant narcissism as the crux of the truth. The narcissistic FOG targets of narcissists get entrapped in and remain so post discard or when the relationship is long gone, is difficult to explain away using the school of psychology alone. The narcissist is actually best explained in analogous terms as a spiritual criminal or sole thief/trader, such is the inexplicable hold they exert over their supply sources, ie human beings. The narcissist’s discard is a most devastating experience initially, comes out of left field, and is dished out to their target at the worst possible time and usually in the cruelest of ways. Overcoming and recovering from such an emotionally, psychologically, spiritually and sometimes physically devastating life event can at first appear insurmountable. Akin to an NDE in terms of soul challenging, it can however be turned on its head and used to great advantage by a narcissists former partner, friend, or family member. Recovering from and reversing the narcissistic discard is totally possible, is highly recommended, and the results of such a reversal are exceptionally rewarding in a healing capacity. Harnessing the power of this painful experience with a narcissist and utilizing that energy for personal freedom and, as a transformative breakthrough out of the matrix so to speak, becomes a blessing. The physical effect of such an escape is oftentimes, a narcissist looking to return to the relationship quicker than their normal cycle would predict.
