In this episode, Susan Guthrie visits again with Dr. Elizabeth Cohen, "The Divorce Doctor," to help you deal with the passing of one year since Covid appeared in our world. This anniversary, and so many others, can be distressing in many ways, especially when we are in the throes of a difficult time like divorce.
One year ago we were just hearing about this new strain of "flu" that had been discovered and was rapidly spreading with no known cure. Words like "pandemic" and "quarantine" soon became part of the nightly news feed and our dinner table conversation. Then we went into lockdown and the world will never be the same. Dr. Elizabeth Cohen returns to the show to help us to understand the significance of anniversaries and the trauma we may feel as emotions are awakened and memories and loss can flood us.
