In this week's episode of Outspoken Mental Health I'm talking about disassociation, a lesser known symptom of anxiety that can feel very scary but will never harm you.
This is the symptom that has always scared me the most but as I've learnt more about what it is I've become less freaked out by it.
During the episode I talk about why it happens, what it feels like and how slowly and surely you can learn to live with it until you get to a point where it all but disappears.
Remember I'm not a professional and am speaking from my own experience.
Joshua Fletcher aka @anxietyjosh experienced and talks about both derealisation and depersonalisation from the point of view of a professional with real life experience and I thoroughly recommend seeking him out if you would like more information.
