Over the past week, China has been celebrating the Spring Festival holiday. Hundreds of millions of people in the country have travelled – for family reunion, for sightseeing, or for both. Great momentum has been recorded in economic activities ranging from retail to tourism.
With a modern lifestyle and the emergence of new technologies, significant changes have taken place in the way Chinese people celebrate their lunar new year. But does that necessarily indicate the erosion of traditions?
