Joel also shows us that we can have peace and rest via codependency on God. He gives some practical exercises on sharing with others to help us see ourselves in truth to overcome the lies of our past.

Our Guest: Matthew & Joanna Raabsmith are founders of Renewing Us Recovery, where they help couples renew and repair relationships affected by sexual addiction, infidelity, and betrayal. Matthew shares his journey from youth pastor back to seminary where he and Joanna learned of the connection between therapy, psychology, and faith. He also talks about his road to recovery from sexual addiction through the 12-step process, and later to helping other couples in the healing process. Matthew & Joanna share the importance of having community -- males, females, and couples -- to go deep together.

Our Guest: Fausto Estrada shares how his story of addiction took him from Honduras to a place of healing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He shares that reading more books, getting married and having kids did not cure his addiction. He became involved in Prodigals International. After much success, he translated the material to take to those in need in Spanish speaking cultures.

Leslie explains the truth that we want people in our lives, but some people use each other as objects. She gives examples of many types of abuse that can happen in a relationship. There is hope for change. We have to own what we do and do what it takes to get better. There is a difference between healthy and unhealthy sinners. She gives many pointers to husbands and wives for intimacy, restoration and amends.

Our Guest: Michael Ayala-White, a Buffalo NY native, is a Trauma Informed Certified Coach who is located in Buffalo, NY, but his certification is global and does remote coaching with clients all over the country. He specializes in addiction recovery, inner child work, and trauma informed coaching. He talks about the differences between toxic shame and everyday shame and how to work on them in healthy ways. Michael discusses his disconnects between reading the Bible, memorizing verses, and his inability to stop his addiction. Helping us see that recovery and healing involves ALL of you and can take many paths.

Our Guest: Rachel Allen has lived in Alabama and Tennessee, and now calls Utah her home. She is a CSAT who works with a lot of women and couples. She shares her fascination with human behavior and how she started explaining sexuality to women in college. Rachel urges women not to Google Women’s Sexuality, especially in considering rape and purity culture, women’s masturbation, and sexual addiction. She educates on sexual anorexia, shame, body hate, control, and dopamine hits. Rachel also disputes society's incorrect message that women are responsible for men's thoughts.
