Why are so many hot, sexy, girls lonely?

The Hot, Lonely Girl in short is a lone wolf. She can't maintain a friend group to save her life. She has a hard time finding people to date, or is not interest in the ones that want to date her, thus leaving her without an "other". While all her friends are in long term relationships, getting married and having babies, the HLG seems to be falling the wayside. The HLG might even be content in singledom.

The HLG paradox is not exclusive to women or relationships either. It is the person, who decided at 25 to take a chance on themselves and start their own business, while their friends have been on a set path since high school. The HLG is anyone taking the harder, longer, lonelier path--the path, that as hard as they may try--no one, except someone on a similar path, understands.

This episode is about that. It's about having to be your own support system and your biggest advocate. It's about being there for yourself.
