Ryan Horn on Coaching, Accountability, and Upholding the Standard

Listen Later

Ryan Horn is in his fifth season with the Wake Forest basketball program, and serves as the Demon Deacons' Director of Athletic Performance.

With previous stops at Robert Morris, Liberty, VCU, and Tulsa, he’s a guy that understands the sport of basketball, and how to build better basketball players.

But beyond the X’s and O’s of training, I feel like Ryan is a guy who truly gets the art of coaching, and that’s what we’re going to focus on this time around.

In this show, Ryan and I talk about how he’s failed as a coach (and the lessons he’s learned from it), why we need to accept more responsibility as coaches, especially with our young athletes, and how to be as impactful as possible in our profession.

Let me be blunt: Ryan is one of the realest guys I’ve ever been around, and I love his honesty, transparency and passion.

He absolutely crushes this show, and I know you’re going to love it. Let’s do this!

Here's a brief overview of what we covered in this week's show:
