Lek Chailert, a native to Thailand, is a world renown elephant conservation expert, with 25 years' experience. She is founder of Save Elephant Foundation; Partner & co-founder of Gentle Giants Non-Profit.

Mission: Elephant conservation and to work in collaboration with elephant owners and their local communities in finding a more harmonious and peaceful coexistence with the gentle giants and enabling the mahouts (caretakers) to earn a decent living to support their families. By helping create opportunities where elephants can stay and thrive in their own habitats, sanctuaries or other ethical, humane projects living in harmony with nature. Benefitting not only the elephants, the mahouts but also their communities.
