  • 36. How visible do you really need to be in your business?

Are you wondering if you should be showing up more in your business? Or maybe you're feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to be visible everywhere, all the time?

In this solo episode, I'm diving into the question I hear from so many clients: how visible do I actually need to be right now?

This episode will help you figure out whether you're in a season where you need to be stepping up your visibility or whether it's time to take the pressure off.

In this episode, I chat about:
    • How to know if you really need more visibility right now

    • Why your visibility strategy should align with your goals and capacity

    • My own visibility rhythm and why it's never been about posting daily

    • Why some of your most powerful visibility might be happening offline

    • How to build a rhythm that feels aligned and sustainable for you

You don't need to exhaust yourself trying to keep up with everyone else's visibility blueprints. Let this be your reminder that showing up is powerful, but it doesn't have to be exhausting.

  • 35. The Power of Showing Up Honestly, Even When It Feels Hard with Ro Feilden-Cook
I only discovered Ro Feilden-Cook on Instagram a few months ago, but I was immediately struck by the genuine, honest, and uplifting way she shows up - especially while navigating huge challenges in her life and business. I knew strraight away that I had to have her on the podcast.

Ro is a women's wellbeing expert and the founder of The She Collective, a holistic membership that supports women with strength-based movement, mindset tools, and nervous system care. Her mission is to help women take up more space -not less - without resorting to before-and-after culture or shame-based quick fixes.

In this episode, we talk about showing up online when things feel heavy, running a values-led business, the importance of community, and the personal cost of trying to do it all. Ro shares openly about the financial challenges her business has faced and the decision to be fully transparent with her members.

This conversation is warm, honest and human - one of those episodes that'll stay with you long after you've listened.

    What We Talk About:
    • Ro's story: from single parenting and grief to launching The She Collective

    • Why Ro refuses to use before-and-after photos (and what she does instead)

    • Sharing business struggles publicly - and what happened when she did

    • The importance of values in life and business

    • Concerns around weight loss injections and societal messaging

    • How to show up when your energy is low or life feels heavy

    • The power of visibility that's rooted in self-compassion Here's the link to the episode about discovering your core values that I mention - find out my framework and download the free worksheet.

  • 34. Making Bold Business Shifts and Fully Showing Up with Kelly Pietrangeli

In this inspiring episode, I'm joined by Kelly Pietrangeli - soul mentor, retreat leader and podcast host. Kelly and I first met many years ago in the early days of our businesses, and it's been such a joy to witness her journey, especially as she's recently made a bold shift in her work.

Kelly shares how she pivoted from running a very practical business helping busy mothers to organize their lives, to stepping fully into a more spiritual path - or as she calls it, coming out of the "woo woo closet." We talk about how scary it can feel to shift your business when you've built up a strong following and reputation, and how Kelly navigated this transition in an authentic and courageous way.

    We also dive into:

    • Why Kelly found it easier to share vulnerable stories through her podcast

    • The mindset shifts Kelly had to make to fully embrace her new direction

    • The power of visibility and what it has done for Kelly's business and confidence

    • How Kelly overcame fears of judgment, including from people close to her

Towards the end of the episode, Kelly reflects on her time in my group visibility mastermind, SEEN, which I run once a year for a small group of just 5 business owners. I'll be opening the doors again in September. If you'd like to be the first to hear when it opens, join the waitlist at vickiknights.co.uk/mastermind.

I'm breaking down the key differences between showing up and showing off, how cultural conditioning has influenced our fears around visibility, and what you can do to confidently step into your space without feeling cringey about it.

    In This Episode, I Cover:

    - Why so many of us have been conditioned to shrink ourselves and fear being 'too much' - The key differences between showing up and showing off (with some movie references to help!) - How to reframe visibility as an act of service rather than an ego boost - Practical tips for showing up in a way that feels joyful and authentic

  • 28. How To Love Having a Branding Shoot (and 5 steps to make it a success)

Welcome to series 3 of Showing Up with Vicki Knights!

Today, I'm the one being interviewed! The wonderful Jessica Rose, founder of Jewellers Academy, invited me onto her podcast, and we had such a great chat that I wanted to share it with you here.

In this conversation, I not only share how you can love the experience of having a branding shoot, but I also open up about my own business journey. From leaving a corporate career to building a thriving business as a branding photographer and visibility coach, I reflect on the lessons I've learned along the way.

Jessica and I dive into all things personal branding photography. Over the years, I've photographed over 1000 amazing business owners, and I know just how nerve-wracking it can feel to get in front of the camera. If that sounds familiar, don't worry - this episode is packed with actionable tips to help you feel prepared, confident, and ready to shine.

Jessica asks me all about the key steps to a successful branding shoot and how to make it an experience that leaves you feeling empowered. Plus, I'm revealing the secret to feeling confident on camera - it's simpler than you might think!

  • 27. Are You Truly Showing Up Authentically In Your Business?

Authenticity - it's a word we hear everywhere, but what does it really mean for us as business owners? In this episode, I'm diving deep into the layers of authenticity and exploring how it shapes not only the way we show up in our businesses but also how we connect with ourselves and others.

From the pressures of social media to the layers of personal branding, I challenge the oversimplified advice of "just be yourself" and offer a more practical, nuanced take on showing up in ways that align with your core values and your personality. I also share some insights from my Positive Psychology studies, including the fascinating "Three Selves" framework from Ritu Bhasin, and a vulnerable story about my own journey with authenticity.

This isn't just about business - it's about finding a balance between being real and being strategic, setting boundaries, and embracing the parts of yourself that matter most.

In this episode, I'll talk about:

    • Why "just be yourself" isn't always helpful advice.
    • The fine line between adapting and performing.
    • How authenticity impacts everything from your mindset to your marketing.
    • A practical framework to help you navigate authenticity in your life and work.
    • Why being authentic doesn't mean oversharing every detail of your life.

Plus: Stick around until the end to hear me reflect on my first year of podcasting - the highs, the challenges, and my big, audacious goals for the future. This is my final episode of the year, I'll be back with series 3 at the end of January. Thank you so much for listening and supporting the podcast this year, I'm so grateful for you all.
