An African folktale from Malawi adapted and retold from the book "The River That Went To The Sky" by Mary Medlicott - illustrated by Ademola Akintola.

There was once a river in Africa that thought that the stars in the sky were twinkling eyes.  The river was very curious and wanted to go to the sky. The sun said he would help the river up but he had to find his way back down.
