  • Downsizing: The Mental Side Of Carrying Muscle and Strength
SHR # 2586 :: Downsizing: The Mental Side Of Carrying Muscle and Strength - Dan Matha - Many of us in the Super Human Nation identify with being a certain size or level of strength. Often things happen in our lives where giving up some human real estate is required. Injuries, changes in physical demand, getting older. Our identification with being big and strong may trap us. Place us in a box that doing what is best for us is not easy or comfortable. How do you reconcile with making these changes? Do you still have the same net worth as a person if you’re not as big and strong as you once were? How do you give up the human real estate without giving up who we are?

  • Changes in Brain Cartilage May Explain Why Sleep Helps You Learn + Snap Out of It: Change Mood On Demand
SHR # 2584 :: Changes in Brain Cartilage May Explain Why Sleep Helps You Learn + Snap Out of It: Change Mood On Demand - Dr. Harry Pantazopoulos, Ph.D. – Dr. David Rabin - The morphing structure of the brain's "cartilage cells" may regulate how memories change while you snooze, according to new research. Sleep lets the body rest, but not the brain. During sleep, the brain accounts for a day of learning by making strong memories stronger and weak memories weaker, a process known as memory consolidation. But changing memories requires changing synapses, the connections between neurons. Sleep-induced changes need to overcome perineuronal nets, cartilage-like sheaths that not only surround and protect neurons, but also prevent changes in synapses. PLUS Ever wish you could just snap out of a mood? You feel tired or anxious and wish you could snap your fingers and change your mood on demand? Well you can, sort of. You can use vibrations to change your mood, relax you before bed or energize you before a workout. Here’s how. Get Apollo Neuro and save 15% OFF http://shrnetwork.biz/apolloneuro . • Happy Healthy Hormones: How To Thrive In Menopause + How Carl Knows So Much About Menopause
SHR # 2582 :: Happy Healthy Hormones: How To Thrive In Menopause + How Carl Knows So Much About Menopause - Dr. Daved Rosensweet, MD - Menopause derails the lives of many women. I’ve often said that if men went through menopause physicians would take it much more seriously. Most women are told “it’s normal” to suffer hot flushes, night sweats, sleeplessness, debilitating anxiety, depression, rapid onset cognitive decline, and much more. Not to mention the weight gain! They become zombies unrecognizable to themselves and their families. More and more physicians are now understanding that it’s “not normal” and women shouldn’t be told to just tough it out. My guest today has dedicated his career to not only helping women but training physicians and nurse practitioners in how to help women get back to feeling and being themselves again and thriving. Get Dr. Rosensweet's book Happy Healthy Hormones: How To Thrive In Menopause HERE>>> http://shrnetwork.biz/happyhealthyhormones . PLUS Carl discusses an experience he had back in 2002 that qualifies him to talk about menopause first hand.

  • Genomics Based Precision Medicine plus The Super Human Nootropic Stack
SHR # 2581 :: Genomics Based Precision Medicine plus The Super Human Nootropic Stack - Dr. Matthew Dawson, MD - Chris Dziak - How do you provide personalized medicine? How do differentiate between each patients unique needs? Traditional bloodwork is never enough. Symptoms overlap from one condition to another. We need a deeper way to look at the patient if we are ever going to be able to provide a unique medical solution for each unique individual. The genome offers a way to look at how one patient differs from another. And physicians are looking at way to leverage this emerging technology to provide patients with answers that are specifically designed just for them. Visit http://wildhealth.com PLUS The Super Human Radio team has come up with a few nootropic products that, when taken together, appear to flip the light switch in your bran to on without stims like caffeine. • From Causes of Aging to Death from COVID-19 plus Is This Why Men Die Sooner Than Women
SHR # 2579 :: From Causes of Aging to Death from COVID-19 plus Is This Why Men Die Sooner Than Women - Dr. Mikhail Blagosklonny, MD PhD - COVID-19 is not deadly early in life, but mortality increases exponentially with age, which is the strongest predictor of mortality. Mortality is higher in men than in women, because men age faster, and it is especially high in patients with age-related diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension, because these diseases are manifestations of aging and a measure of biological age. At its deepest level, aging (a program-like continuation of developmental growth) is driven by inappropriately high cellular functioning. The hyperfunction theory of quasi-programmed aging explains why COVID-19 vulnerability (lethality) is an age-dependent syndrome, linking it to other age-related diseases. It also explains inflammaging and immunosenescence, hyperinflammation, hyperthrombosis, and cytokine storms, all of which are associated with COVID-19 vulnerability. Anti-aging interventions, such as rapamycin, may slow aging and age-related diseases, potentially decreasing COVID-19 vulnerability. PLUS My theory on why men are effected by disease states and die younger than woman. And it’s so simple you’ll dismiss it immediately. Dr. Blagosklonny is editor-in-chief of the journals Aging, Cell Cycle, and Oncotarget. In addition, he is associate editor of the journals Cancer Biology and Therapy and a member of the editorial board of Cell Death and Differentiation. mikhailblagosklonny.com PLUS My theory on why men are effected by disease states and die younger than woman. • The Pep Talk SS-31 plus Why I Talk For A Living
SHR # 2578 :: The Pep Talk SS-31 plus Why I Talk For A Living - Dr. Elizabeth Yurth, MD - Mitochondrial function and efficiency is a fascinating area of science. Mitochondrial dysfunction is implicated in everything from being the first domino in the development of cancer to a key player in chronic fatigue. SS-31 is a small aromatic peptide that easily penetrates cells and organelle membranes. It stabilizes the enzyme cardiolipin within mitochondria. Cardiolipin is part of the inner mitochondria membrane where its fundamental job is electron transport – the primary energy production system of all mitochondria. Since mitochondria are implicated in numerous disease states disruption of Cardiolipin has been targeted as part of the pathology of diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, NAFLD, HIV, heat failure, cancer and chronic fatigue under the heading of Mitochondrial Myopathy. SS-31 is the first peptide to undergo clinical trials to treat Mitochondrial Myopathy. Many exiting peptides have had lackluster results in the real-world applications. Early use of SS-31 appears very promising. PLUS Carl has to explain a recent social media post that caused some controversy. But don’t misinterpret this as an apology. It’s not. To learn more about SS31 use code SS31 at shrnetwork.biz/SS31 for an additional 10% off and it can be added to existing bulk discount pricing.

  • Oregon State Studies 5G Networks Impacts On Health plus Seafood Study Finds Plastic In All Samples
SHR # 2577 :: Oregon State Studies 5G Networks Impacts On Health plus Seafood Study Finds Plastic In All Samples – Prof. Robyn Leigh Tanguay - Francisca Ribeiro PhD Candidate - Findings from an Oregon State University study into the effects of radiofrequency radiation generated by the wireless technology that will soon be the standard for cell phones suggest few health impacts. Fifth generation or 5G wireless technology, which began being deployed worldwide in 2019, provides faster connectivity and more bandwidth, meaning higher download speeds. But because 5G technology is so new, little is known about the potential health effects from its radiofrequency radiation, which is higher than the current industry standard 4G. The Oregon State study begins to change that. PLUS Perhaps we should start asking for a side of plastic with that fish filet. A study of five different seafoods has found traces of plastic in every sample tested. Researchers bought oysters, prawns, squid, crabs and sardines from a market in Australia and analyzed them using a newly developed method that identifies and measures five different plastic types simultaneously. The study - by the University of Exeter and the University of Queensland - found plastic levels of 0.04 milligrams (mg) per gram of tissue in squid, 0.07mg in prawns, 0.1mg in oysters, 0.3mg in crabs and 2.9mg in sardines.
