In December 2018, The 70.3 World Record was crushed by the young Norwegian athlete, Kristian Blummenfelt. Blummenfelt, who is better known for success at short course racing with some dominating performances at Super League managed a 21:36 swim, 1:56 bike and 1:06 run to crush the previous record with a 3:29:04!
This week we are extremely lucky to be joined by Kristian as he talks us through how that race unfolded, the preparation for the event and most importantly, how much faster he thinks he can go.
We discuss his plans for the future including Olympic success, Iron Man domination and not only breaking the 70.3 World Record but the Iron Man World Record as well.
Kristian also talks about the lessons that age group athletes can take from him to improve their performance as well.
This is an incredibly open and insightful conversation where you will gain a true insight into what it takes to go fast or as Kristian puts it, 'make your competitors look bad!'
