Hormones are chemical messengers in the body that work together to regulate many important functions such as the stress response, growth, libido, and overall metabolism. Although our bodies make many hormones, today we are going to focus on testosterone.
Testosterone is a hormone of growth and repair and vitally important for maintaining health. Testosterone levels can naturally fall as we age. Deficiencies, or “low T”, is far more common than many of us realize and the clinical implications are far-reaching in both men and women. In this episode, we discuss all things testosterone, when to suspect deficiencies, and some strategies to improve testosterone levels.
