    Ron is a Senior Partner and the VP of Recruiting at Southwestern Coaching. He was the former Regional Sales Director for Southwestern Advantage responsible for recruiting, training, mentoring, and managing more than 600 salespeople over 19 years. He is an expert when it comes to recruiting, sales training, and coaching individuals and teams to reach higher than they ever imagined.



    He is a company record holder—personally achieved the highest level of sales 70 times with Southwestern—and a leadership record holder—coaches and trained more than 10,000 producers, which is more than any other manager in the 158-year-old Southwestern history. He also personally coached and trained six of the top 10 lifetime salespeople in the history of Southwestern.



    He lives with the strong belief that true success and enduring joy comes from principle-centered living… that’s the foundation, and everything else flows from there. Ron is an endurance athlete, having completed many marathons, triathlons and “ultramarathon” events.

    In addition to being CEO of Southwestern Family of Companies, Hillis is a Co-Founder of Southwestern Consulting, a sales and leadership coaching, keynote speaking and personal empowerment firm that helps clients around the world drive sales performance through the use of time-tested principles and proven methodologies. He remains the head of Southwestern Coaching. With more than 100 fully dedicated Southwestern Consulting Certified Coaches operating in seven countries, the business has helped over 14,000 clients grow their incomes by more than 25 percent on average. The coaching business grew at 60 percent per year for the last 8 years before Hillis took on the role of CEO of Southwestern Family of Companies.



    As a junior at the University of Tennessee, Hillis broke the more than 160-year-old, all-time sales record for Southwestern Advantage, making a profit of more than $100,000 in 14 weeks. That sales record still stands today. With a degree in psychology and experience knocking on thousands of doors, Hillis is an expert in buying, selling, management behavior and how to adapt to the way people want to be communicated with.

    Dave Causer is the president of Global Educational Concepts, a Southwestern Company. A graduate of Houghton College with a BA in Business Administration in 1974, he started working in the Southwestern Advantage student internship program as a freshman to earn money to finance his education in 1971.  Dave has stayed with the company since that first summer and recruited, trained and managed a 1,000 person sales organization of university students. He became the youngest director in the Southwestern company’s then 125 year history. 



    Dave started Global Educational Concepts, an international sponsorship organization, in 2006. Global Educational Concepts is now approaching 2,000 yearly participants. He has personally recruited over 8,000 J1 students from 52 different countries that have participated in the Southwestern Advantage program.
