This episode was originally recorded for Kylie Larson's podcast - Here's the Deal with Kylie. We are talking about why you may not be losing weight or seeing results. There are things you're either doing or not doing that are leading you here. We are talking about why you might not be getting results. We are talking about limiting beliefs, our intuition, eating bites, licks and tastes, consistency, and lifestyle factors. I think the biggest takeaway is that we've heard them all and can relate to them. We've been gaslit to "trust the process" even when our intuition is telling us "no." I think you'll love this very relatable conversation!

There is a big movement that we see all the time called toxic positivity. You all know it - "good vibes only," "think positive,"etc. While we all want to be in a good mood all the time and never feel negative, this is not part of the human experience. It is toxic for our body to negate certain emotions that don't make us feel good. In this episode, I talk about why toxic positivity is toxic and how to be more emotionally resilient so you have a healthier physical body as well.

We need challenges in our life to grow. We need to get out of our comfort zone daily. I'm a big fan of that.
However, do you really feel like you need more challenge in your life right now? Do you need to add things to your plate?
I talk to women just like you everyday and we are trying to figure out how to take things off their plates, simplify things and have them gain more mental clarity.
It's not that we can't want to reach for some goals, but challenges perpetuate the "all or nothing" mindset.
We white knuckle through the challenge for 30 or 75 days, but then what? We fall "off the wagon."
We go back to our old ways because we have no idea what else to do. The challenge "lifestyle" was too hard to maintain, so that was sustainable or realistic.
We need to figure out an actual lifestyle that feels doable for us. What that actually is is different for everyone.

Reprioritizing our health and goals in the fall
It's back to school time which means another new routine.
For some of us that means less busy, and for others it means more.
Whatever it is for you, the fall time tends to be a time where women like to refocus on their health, nutrition and fitness goals.
While I'm always sad the kids are a grade older, I love this time of year. There is a newfound sense of change.
In this podcast, I talk about how I acclimate to a new school routine and some things you can think about for your routine too.
