When I was a young girl, I remember watching an episode of Leave it to Beaver 2 (you heard that right), in which the young, teen girl character goes shopping for her first bra, Mom and Grandma June in tow.

I don’t remember the details of the episode, but I do remember the feeling of being scandalized,  delighted and curious beyond words about what my own future in lingerie had in store.
