I am practicing a healthier version of myself.
This episode we do a version of the wheel of life, listing out our areas of wellness and giving them a health score, helping us see what areas we may want to work on. The episode will end with a few minuets of a guided meditation with music by Jacob Cole.
When I say health I mean it as overall wellness. Each area of our lives.
It’s family, relationships, work, body, spirit and mind. It's your home health, it's having fun, it’s movement and nutrition. It’s everything that makes up wellness to you.
Take a look at all the areas of your life, which areas could use some health improvement? You can rate each area 1-10. 1 being low on the health scale and 10 you’re feeling pretty great in that area.
List out the following areas and give them a number. Any areas below a 5 is where you should start practicing, being healthier and improving. And if you’ve been following along for the last 14 weeks, it’s time to step into even bigger changes. If you’re just tuning in, focus on baby steps.
Some wellness categories: Nutrition (food, water, vitamins & supplements)
Body (Movement, strength, balance, eye, teeth and body health) Your home (clean, organized, a space where you feel at ease / happy / healthy)Family
Friends & Fun Work / Career
Creative / Creativity / Hobbies
Spiritual (Meditation, Mindfulness, finding something that gives you faith & hope, or a pratice of spiritual renewal)
Take your time with these, if you have anything you want to add feel free. You can even take notes on what you can do to feel a little happier and healthier in the areas that need it. Don’t take on every area all at once. Put the focus on one and a time, the one that makes you feel the best in the now and over time.
Now on to today’s meditation:
I am practicing being a healthier version of myself.
I am practicing mindfulness…. Being in the moment.
I am practicing being calm.
I am practicing listening and allowing time before I answer or react.
I am practicing taking moments to mindfully breathe.
I see myself coming back to focusing on me. What makes me healthy, happy, calm and free. Free from worries, doubt and fear. Releasing them, letting them go.
I am practicing fully believing in myself.
I am practicing the true meaning of life, to enjoy and live in the life of love.
Take a moment to envision the best version of you, one that’s happy, healthy, calm and free.
What does she do to be so healthy, happy, radiant, calm and loving?
Notice what you do to be happy, healthy, calm, and free.
Notice what you like to create & what you do for spiritual growth and overall joy.
That’s your path.. It’s time to take it, it’s time to believe in it.
Continue to sit here in the moment, envisioning your healthy, happy life. Some moments from the past, present and future. Sit in the feeling of dreaming. In the feelings of loving you, loving your life and loving the relationships around you. Loving your home & loving your job, work or career.
Imagine each area of your life becoming healthier bringing the feeling of health and joy to each area… body, mind, spirit, friends, family, significant others. The feeling of health and love for your job, home, family and most importantly you.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Take your time coming back to the present moment. Take all those feelings of health, happiness, freedom and joy to your day and week.
Practice being a healthier version of you.
