Ever heard of the term "post and ghost"?
If you're scratching your head or even if you're guilty of doing it (we've all been there 😉), my latest podcast episode is a MUST-LISTEN!
I sat down with Instagram expert Sally Birks @socialbysally who shed light on the implications of hitting 'post' and then disappearing. We explored:
1️⃣ Why consistent engagement is KEY to growing your private practice.
2️⃣ What happens when you don’t respond to comments.
3️⃣ How to get started, and what to post
4️⃣ Simple strategies to stay present and connect authentically.
If you're serious about making the most of your online presence but are unsure how to get started, this episode is golden.
It's human nature to compare ourselves with others. But this can have a detrimental effect on you, your confidence and your self-esteem.
And as a practice owner, this can also impact the success of your business.
So what can you do if comparisons are knocking your confidence? How can you stop comparing yourself to other therapists?
In this podcast I share:
So take a look at why it's not usually helpful, and how to stop comparing yourself to other therapists

Question - do you follow a system when you receive an email enquiry from someone that you can't work with for some reason?
Maybe you're at capacity, or their issue is outside your competence, or something else.
To be honest, I think probably most people don't, but you could be missing a trick. By having a system, it reduces stress, saves time and serves that client better.
So today, I explore what to do when you can't say yes to enquiries so you can make the process easier for you, and more professional and helpful for the client.

The pros and cons of a free first session are debated regularly amongst therapists, but the truth is, there simply isn’t a definitive right or wrong answer. Quite literally, it's your business and up to you how you choose to run it.
But that’s not very useful when you’re trying to work out what to do!
So let’s take a look at some of the pros and cons involved to help you make your choice about whether to offer therapy clients a free first session

So I recommend browsing through my previous podcasts to see the mindset episodes.

The fear of failure is clear and obvious, but the fear of success is confusing. I mean, you WANT to be successful, right?
The fear of success is sneaky. Without you even being aware it's there, it causes you to self-sabotage and put a spoke in the wheel of your success and hold you back.
How frustrating is that?
So today I'll be demystifying the fear of success, and sharing 7 ways to stop getting in your own way.

Episode 112 Why Your Mindset is Vital if you Want a Successful Practice
The Grow Your Private Practice Show was launched in July 2020, and in this time it's covered a wide variety of subjects about how to grow your practice and attract more clients.
But it's not just about attracting more clients, it's also about YOU and how to build your business to suit your own needs.
And part of that is managing mindset issues and practising robust self-care, something that can end up too far down the to-do list.
So today, I'm sharing one of the most popular episodes with you, an open letter to therapists with mental health issues.
So this is for you if you struggle with your own mental health issues.
As a therapist, you know how difficult life can be and how prevalent mental health issues are.
But in the recent past, on top of these existing issues, we've all had to process some frankly major world issues - the pandemic, war, climate chaos, financial insecurity... a whole lot of unpredictability and fear.
That's a lot to cope with. And as a therapist, you aren't immune to it.
So how can you cope as a therapist running a private practice when struggling with your own mental health issues?

The Grow Your Private Practice Show was launched in July 2020, and in this time it's covered a wide variety of subjects about how to grow your practice and attract more clients.
So today, I'm sharing one of the most popular episodes with you, all about how to enjoy the marketing process.
So this is for you if marketing feels like a chore you keep putting off, like it's something you are forced to do to attract clients, but you wish you didn't have to.
Maybe you HATE the thought of having to ‘sell’ yourself, or the thought of being visible brings you out in a rash?
Well if that sounds familiar, this episode is for you because it doesn’t have to be that way.
Forcing yourself to do something you hate is NOT the way to do something well. It's possible to enjoy your marketing, and when you enjoy your marketing, you do it more, get better at it and as a result, it’s more effective.
Which means more clients, better outcomes and increased income.
So you not only enjoy your marketing but naturally get the results you want.
Don’t believe me - then listen up, and I'll show you how.
