What if you could drop the pressure of doing everything perfectly—and still progress forward?

I'm sharing what this looks like in real life, how to shift your mindset when you feel like giving up, and why "trying" is more powerful than you think.

Throw in my recent Daniel Fast and I've got lots to share about getting enough protein in your diet (depending on your goals!), how to do it, and when to stop.

Medicine: helpful or harmful?
The solution or the problem?
Good or bad?
I'm going there this week.
As a 3rd generation physician, my heart has been torn recently. I have the knowledge and the book smarts but, for the first time, I'm starting to wonder where the highest level answers lie.
Does spiritual health differ from physical? The answers you get might.
Are our mental and obesity crises best solved by the answers medicine is putting forward? I'm not totally on board.
And I'm guessing you aren't either.
My goal is to find the common sense in the middle: routed in spiritual health first and using the tools our modern culture has available in healthy ways.
If that's your goal, this episode (and podcast!) is for you.

Lent: the time when fasting becomes popular and everyone suffers 😂
But it doesn't have to be that way.
Fasting during lent can increase spiritual and physical health when you learn how to manage your mind.
In this episode, I'm sharing my favorite ways to increase both spiritual and physical health while you fast. And sharing 2 new fasts that I will be trying this lent: complaint fasting and the Daniel fast.

Slowing down is one of the hardest things to do in our modern culture.
We are told to "earn your value" and then filled with lots of quick easy distractions to fill our leftover time.
Yet, slowing down is exactly what we need to get physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy.
In this episode, I'm sharing my recent experience of slowing down: a Disney cruise with 19 family members. And what I learned from 6 days without text, email, social media.
And challenging you to a week of slowing down.
It's in those times that the clarity and true connections in life start to shine through.
Plus, I'm sharing a few great thoughts and resources to help you intentionally slow down.
