In this solo episode, I explore all of my thoughts around the idea of having a second child – purely conceptual, not a pregnancy announcement! I discuss the recent pressure I’ve felt that it’s “go time” for Kid Number Two, our Month 15 bliss with my first, and the fear of disrupting our current groove with another baby. I also explain our surprise pregnancy with my first, and why that’s feeding my own uncertainties about another conception and postpartum experience. Finally, I read listener stories about feeling scared of giving less to your firstborn, being much more confident as a second-time mom, and deciding to be “one and done” and grappling with feeling secure in that decision.
