Did you know that a big (BIG!) chunk of sales actually comes from existing customers?

How big? Well, I’m so glad you asked.

Think of it this way: research shows that, while most businesses make sales to anywhere between 5-20% of NEW customers, they close deals with 60-70% of EXISTING customers.

What if you treated your life like a puzzle?

Allow me to explain: when you approach a puzzle, you typically start by identifying the corners or edges.

Once you have your corners in place, you begin filling in the pieces, one by one. Each piece represents a small step or task that contributes to the larger picture.

Well, in life, progress is made by breaking down big goals into manageable tasks and tackling them one at a time. By focusing on completing one piece at a time (and not the whole picture), you gradually build momentum and move closer to your goal.

Wanna know the most important move you’ll ever (EVER!) make in business?

Be honest: have you ever felt so closely tied to something…

… and then it was just, well, gone? poof

If so, then you know it can feel like your identity is being stripped away from you, forcing you to start over...again.

This is what I’ve learned: if something is being taken away from you, it’s because it’s time for you to let go for something bigger (and more aligned with your future). It’s hard to leave situations (willingly) when they’re comfortable, familiar, and certain—so, sometimes you are forced.

This is precisely the situation Hala Taha, LinkedIn, and Podcast Expert, found herself in when she was let go from her Hip Hop show on Hot 97, and shortly after, her MTV show was canceled. But, because Hala persevered, she’s built a successful podcast and a profitable agency.
