But the 15-year struggle had cost him his career and damaged his relationships. He had lost all of his thirties and some of his forties.
In the process of getting well, he had managed to develop a safe protocol for using the T3 thyroid hormone (Liothyronine) and an innovative approach called the Circadian T3 Method (CT3M) that can correct adrenal function in many cases. Certified keto and intermittent fasting coach Carlos Spells is our special interview guest on Episode 1482 of The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show.
Carlos Spells from blacknketo.com was raised following the Standard American Diet. He started at a young age drinking soda and eating processed food as a way of life. By the time he hit his early 20's, he weighed over 300lbs, suffered from allergies, and also labeled pre-diabetic. He tried various workout plans and eating strategies to lose weight only to end up right where he started from. After following conventional diet and exercise advice, he saw results, but did not feel like he hoped. As a result, he started doing more research on low carb and that's when he came across Jimmy Moore and the podcast Keto Talk. Fast forward to today, he has managed to lose 50 more pounds, rid himself of allergies, regulate his digestive system and seriously cut back on his caffeine intake. In addition, he was no longer diagnosed as being pre-diabetic. Now he enjoys showing others how they can improve their health/fitness, lose weight and still enjoy life while eating delicious real food on a ketogenic and intermittent fasting lifestyle.
