I turned 39 last month, and the word “maturity” has been resonating with me this year in a way it hadn’t before. As I approach my 40th year, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to grow not just as a business owner but as a woman, a mother, a leader, and a human being.

I recently did a poll on Instagram and 90% of women said that they wanted to hit 6 figures in their business. Another 50% of those said they wanted to reach multi-6 figures.
I asked my audience what they thought the gap was between the two - based on thoughts, actions and strategy - and the findings were interesting and my DMs blew up with questions.

Many of us in the coaching and online service industries see sales peaks typically in January or September. The summer months can feel uncertain, especially if your business doesn’t have recurring revenue. When I work with clients it's actually one of the first things we address when looking at their business strategy.
But August doesn't have to be a slow month. On the day of recording this episode, we signed a new client into The Expansion Accelerator and just yesterday, a new client into my redefined mastermind SCALE (formerly known as Expand to 7).
This is possible when you have sales strategies in place all year round, and don’t rely on launch months, which can be the exact thing that keeps us feeling like we are in the ‘ feast and famine’ cycle.
PLUS, August can be a great time to optimise your pre-pre launch phase ahead of your launch in September / October.

Recently, we had a big launch with nearly 988 sign-ups for our masterclass. However, our conversion rate was 20%, which is below industry standards.
I was disheartened - but, when I looked at the whole picture, the data told a different story.
Yes, the conversion rate for the masterclass was low, but our ad spend per lead was amazing, engagement was sky-high, I had more inquiries of people wanting to work with me than ever before.
We were seeing growth and results in another area.
Had I looked at just that one piece of conversion data, I could have made bad business decisions based on my emotions.
