Brian Harris grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of a carpenter. His dad built cabinets and furniture and Brian spent much time watching him create and install them.

Brian’s two favorite places to create masterpieces are the kitchen and his woodshop. Brian and his wife Cherrise have six girls between them. Yes, you heard that right- the Brady Bunch on Estrogen! Feeding this bunch, and their people is and always will be a big production.

A few years ago, Brian and his daughter Sydney began building furniture for her apartment and gifts for friends and family members. Projects include a record cabinet, toddler stools, bookshelves, coffee tables, and games. In 2023, his wife, Cherrise, adopted a plant-based diet. Brian experienced first-hand the preparation (especially chopping!) involved in creating plant-based meals. This led him to research chef preferences for cutting boards, and the idea for Ramblin’ Man Woodworks handmade cutting boards began.

Over the past year, Brian has studied cutting boards extensively. His research has included preferred types of board styles, wood species, and how to properly finish and maintain a cutting board.
