In this episode of The Real Build, my wife Liz and I sit down for a personal conversation about how my upbringing shaped who I am today.
We talk about growing up with my dad, always trying to earn his approval and make him proud, and how that drive followed me into adulthood. A lot of who I am today, both the good and the hard lessons, came from that season of my life.
What once felt like pressure has become fuel. I’ve learned how to channel it into leadership, discipline, and building something meaningful. That drive is a big part of why I continue to push forward and why we’re committed to growing R.K. Reiman Construction into the premier luxury home builder in the state of Florida.
This episode is about understanding where your drive comes from, learning how to use it the right way, and turning your past into purpose.
In this episode of The Real Build, I sat down with Scott and Stan Whitcomb of The Whitcomb Group to talk about real estate, leadership, and building a company the right way.
We got into how they’ve grown a successful real estate business by focusing on relationships, trust, and consistency, not just transactions. Scott and Stan shared what it’s like working together, how they stay aligned as leaders, and what it takes to build a strong team and culture that lasts.
This wasn’t about hype or shortcuts. It was a real conversation about doing good work, serving people well, and building something you’re proud of.
If you’re in real estate, running a business, or trying to grow without losing your values, this episode is worth a listen.

In this episode of The Real Build, I sat down with Jackson Lahmeyer to talk about faith, leadership, and what it looks like to build a business without letting fear drive your decisions.
Jackson is a pastor, the founder of Pastors for Trump, and someone who has been willing to stand firm in his beliefs even when it brings opposition. He’s also been involved at the national level through the White House Faith Council, but this conversation wasn’t about titles. It was about conviction and how faith shows up in the way you lead.
We talked about how when you run a business with faith, people know it. Not because you talk about it, but because of how you operate. We discussed leading from faith instead of fear, trusting the sound mind God gave you, and remembering that what we manage does not ultimately belong to us.
We also talked about the importance of being intentional, because without intention you end up drifting. We touched on opposition, criticism, and pressure, and why staying grounded matters when those moments come. The righteous may fall seven times, but they get back up, and that mindset applies just as much to business and leadership as it does to faith.
If you’re a business owner or leader trying to build something with purpose and conviction, this conversation is about staying rooted, leading well, and not losing yourself along the way.
