3. SEO is vital for businesses to remain competitive during a recession.

• Offsite SEO has evolved from spammy backlinks to a pay-to-play system.
• Small businesses can still compete without paying for links by pitching content and writing guest posts.
•  Copywriting and SEO intersect at this point because if searchers don’t feel a connection with what is being shared then they will keep clicking past it.
• For solo entrepreneurs who do everything themselves there is no distinction between developer tasks and SEO tasks- both must be done together for success.

To sum it up:
• AI tools are increasingly influencing how people search on the internet, so content must be written to meet Google's EAT (Expertise, Authority & Trustworthiness)
• The best time to invest in SEO is now; existing content can be optimized according to best practices without having to start from scratch.

2. How they happen?

• Broken Links: when a user clicks on an online link that doesn't go anywhere.
• Meta Description: missing descriptions, duplicated ones or too long/short.
• Not having enough words on the page (maybe page is image-heavy).

3. Make your URLs "SEO friendly" by:

•  Including keywords separated by dashes.
• Avoiding  characters like ampersands, at symbols or exclamation points.
• Get insider Shopify Page Tips!

4. What about content?

• Content should be scannable and helpful to the reader in order to rank favorably with Google.
• For blogs, aim for a minimum of 300 words.
• The length of content depends on what is already ranking for that keyword.

• Embedding a Google Map on one's contact page is recommended to make it easier for customers to find their location.
•  Double check all information is up-to-date including prices and ratings/reviews as these can change over time.

2. Interesting things we learned related to Google Business Profile:

• Searches for "where to buy" and "near me" have increased over 200% in recent years, leading to an increase of discovery searches.
• It is important to ensure accurate information on all platforms such as Yelp so customers can easily contact businesses via iPhone apps.

3. Why Google Reviews are the most valuable reviews:

• Reviews should also be taken with a grain of salt as they can easily be fabricated or edited by businesses themselves. 
• Google reviews typically tend to more accurate than other review sources since people have verified accounts through Google before leaving them.
• It's important to respond politely to reviews, even if they are negative. This will help build trust with potential customers. 

4. Final thoughts about the artist formerly known as GMB (Google My Business):

• Ask customers to leave a review on your Google Business Profile (send them a link to make it easy!) as it follows you wherever you go.
• Specify an area of the world that is served if there isn't a physical location.
