In today’s episode BT and I are going deeper into Book 3 of Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch.
From a young age, I had so many questions about God and how religion fits into life, success, and personal growth. Sometimes I got in trouble for asking “provocative” questions at school. I wasn’t trying to be provocative—I was seriously seeking answers (and I didn’t get any that made sense). That’s why I find Conversations with God to be such a fascinating book.
In a world that’s changing so fast, I think we all need to have sincere conversations about God, our values, why we believe the things we believe—and be okay with disagreeing with others. We need to question these things, because if we stop asking questions, we’ll believe whatever we’re told to believe. And that never ends well.
This episode may ruffle a few feathers! You’ll learn:
We should question why we believe the things we do—because often our beliefs were just passed down to us from someone else
The fascinating things people can do with religion—everything from creating inner peace and helping others, to killing someone they don’t agree with
Both religion and science agree that there is no real death—it’s all just a transference of energy
The world today is changing so quickly—information is coming at us so fast, we don’t have time to even think about what we’re experiencing
We should all be free to live the life we want, but we must do things that add to our lives (through the idea of “more life”)

It’s important for us to really think about what we’re experiencing and doing—and choose solid values that allow us to create the life we want.

Conversations with God, by Neale Donald Walsch, is a book that’s basically written as a conversation between the author and God. In it, he shares his questions and the answers he believes God or Spirit is responding with.
If you wish to understand why (and how) people react to, and construct their lives, I highly recommend you study the whole trilogy.
In today’s episode, I’m covering Book 3 of Conversations with God. You’ll learn:
Why it’s beneficial to detach from something for a short period of time (such as social media or news), in order to observe it and learn from it
To “produce your own experience” in life, you must decide ahead of time what you’ll choose to be
How I use my “Sacred Seven” process each morning to choose what I want to be—and how I’ve ingrained this process into my way of thinking about EVERYTHING
You cannot think your way into a new way of acting—you must act your way into a new way of thinking
People fail to reach their goals because their behavior is inconsistent
Our body, mind, and spirit must be “unified” as one—or else we’ll be in conflict and we’ll produce mixed results in our life
What it means to have “fear bias”—and how we’re always looking for evidence to “prove” whatever state of mind that we’re in
An interesting exercise you can do while observing someone who gets emotionally charged by political situations that are going on

Walsch says everything that happens in your life is the “perfect opportunity for you to heal something, create something, or experience something that you wish to heal, create, or experience—in order to be who you really are.”

In Proverbs 4:20, Christ said, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ears unto my sayings.”
He was basically saying we need to come up to his level of understanding. He’s not coming down to our level. We need to raise our awareness and consciousness, so that we come up to a higher level.
We “hear” with our ears, but we listen with our emotions. This means we listen based on our current level of understanding.
Think about a mentor you’re working with who’s at a higher level than you—they understand something you don’t understand. So you have to come up to their level. It doesn’t help you for them to come down to your level.
In this episode you’ll learn:
How to raise your awareness, as Christ talked about
Why you need to start “listening” differently to what’s happening in your life, because there is gold in what life is trying to tell you (beyond the surface-level experience)
How visualizing what you want keeps your mind in order
Why you must raise your desire to a higher level—until it becomes a magnificent obsession
We must hold the picture of what we want in our mind, and keep it free and clear of the cobwebs of doubt, worry, and fear
If something takes you off course of what your purpose is, it’s not for you—it’s just a distraction
There will always be distractions and reasons NOT to do something, tempting you to change what you’re visualizing in your mind

Plus, I share the story of how I went from working on a forklift to tripling my income—just by changing my attitude and becoming aware of the opportunity that was already right in front of me.

Everything in your life—including your environment—is created out of your belief system.
Upleveling your environment is one of the most powerful things you can do to accelerate your income. Why? Because your current environment was created out of your past consciousness. And if you don’t upgrade your environment—your old environment will draw you right back into your old way of thinking.
In today’s episode I’m sharing the last 7 of my 9 “efficient action steps for upgrading your environment.” (To recap, I’ve also included the first 2 steps here):
Make a decision.
Ask: “What do I need to release in order to get what I want?”
Determine what you need to believe in order to create what you want.
Take action on the first thing you become aware of.
Follow the action all the way through.
Realize your next step won’t be shown until you take action on the one you’re facing.
Be a student, always.
Before going to bed each night, decide what you’ll take action on the next day. List 6 of the most important tasks for the next day and do them in their order of importance. Don’t move onto the second one until you’ve completed the first one.
Make sure you have a burning desire for what you want. All desires must be greater than the fear that has suppressed them.

Follow these steps to up-level your physical, emotional, intellectual, and/or business environment. You’ll be astounded at how your life changes!

To accelerate your income, one of the first things to do is up-level your environment immediately. Replace something that’s broken, add beautiful artwork or furniture, get rid of something toxic, or simply put fresh flowers in your home.
Many of my clients and students don’t want to upgrade their environment until AFTER they have the money and resources to do so. But this approach is detrimental, because your current environment was created out of your past consciousness.
If you don’t support yourself in where you want to go—by changing the structures in which you live, travel, work, associate, socialize, and play—you’ll fall right back into your old consciousness. You’ll be saturated by it all over again.
Look at everything in your environment and ask yourself: “If I were the successful person I want to be, would this be here?”
In today’s episode you’ll learn:
Environment is comprised of 3 things—people, places, and things
Your environment has many facets—physical, emotional, intellectual, and business—and you should strive to up-level all of them
Your current environment was largely created out of beliefs and experiences that no longer fit the vision of where you want to go
Changing your environment is like “immersion therapy”
If something doesn’t reflect where you want to be, you must get rid of it—and replace it with something that reflects the success you want to experience
How to make sure your thoughts are in harmony with the direction you want to go
How to upgrade your business environment, so it reflects back to you where you want to go (this is also known as “raising your standards”)

Plus, I share the first two of my 9 “efficient action steps for upgrading your environment”:
Make a decision.
Ask yourself what you have to release in order to get what you want.

Today I have an incredible guest named Richfresh (a.k.a. “Fresh”), who is a celebrity tailor, fashion designer, and entrepreneur. His fashion line, Richfresh, has been seen on the likes of Justin Bieber, Dwayne Wade, and Diddy. He’s also the CEO and co-founder of Henry Mask.
The road to success was not an easy one for Fresh. Previously being an alcoholic, having no money, and having to care for his young daughter alone, he ended up living in a homeless shelter. After being taken for $15,000 by a client, he says he heard the “voice of God” speaking to him—and from there, everything changed.
In this episode, we discuss:
Fresh’s childhood, background story, and how he transformed from being “super nerdy, quiet, and insecure” to being “cool” and “the best-dressed kid at high school”
Why he turned down scholarships to pursue fashion (even though his parents didn’t approve)
How he started a business, made almost $20,000 in a weekend—yet still had bad habits (coke, drugs, alcohol, etc.) and was broke and stressed about not being able to pay the bills
His “spirituality moment” that changed everything—“I heard the voice of God laughing at me, mocking me, and chastising me for going to a man more than I come to God,” he says
How Fresh was given a vision of himself being rich, famous, and successful—even while he was sleeping on the floor at the shelter
His journey going from “not having a good reputation in business”—to branding himself as a celebrity tailor and being in high demand
The power of words, manifestation, and making things happen with your energy

“You can have all the advantages in the world,” Fresh says. “But if you lack the desire to do something with it, you won’t get any outcome.”
Plus, he shares how he began asking God for what he wanted—bigger and bigger amounts of money—and the money showed up…but only AFTER he sacrificed the things that were holding him back.
Fresh’s story illustrates the law of sacrifice—which says in order to receive something of a higher nature, you must first let go of something of a lower nature.

Everything in our being is always trying to pull us into alignment with the truth:
Love is truth.
Abundance is truth.
Happiness is truth.
When we align our thoughts, feelings, and actions with the truth (by using our will power), we can begin to change everything instantaneously.
No matter what you desire, you must apply your will in order to achieve it. The will is like a mental muscle you use to hold the thought of your desire—and keep away contrary thoughts.
In today’s episode, I reveal 5 action steps to strengthen the will:

1.) Decide what you love. (The best use of your will is to bring about your deepest desire.)
2.) Commit to removing temptation from your life. (Remove anything that pulls your focus and your will away from doing what you love.)
3.) Be inquisitive about your feelings of temptation; don’t resist them. (Allow yourself to emotionally discharge from how you reacted to a temptation.)
4.) Release all ideas that are not in harmony with your desire. (Who do you have to become to embrace your purpose?)
5.) Surround yourself with visual reminders of what to focus on. (What inspires you? What keeps you in a spirit of opulence?)

Commit to doing all 5 action steps, and watch your life transform!

If you want to accelerate your income, you need to get really good at focusing.
Your “will” is your ability to focus. The alchemists of the old days referred to the human will as “the philosopher’s stone.” It’s the magic that turns lead into gold.
With your will, you can take any circumstance or situation that’s not working the way you want it to—and change it very rapidly. You can use your will to create anything you desire.
In today’s episode you’ll learn:
Spirit wants you to have what you want
You have a divine right to be rich, and there is no more effective way to serve humanity than by getting rich yourself
Whatever you focus on grows
“Will” equals focus—your will is a mental muscle; it’s your ability to hold a single thought or idea in your consciousness and not waiver from it
You must use your will to keep out any thoughts or ideas that might take you off course or distract you
No coercion or manipulation is required to get what you want
Willpower can be to resist temptations (especially the problematic ones that distract you from your desired result)
When you combine your will with something you love, your action becomes virtually effortless

No matter what you desire, your will is the way—it will point you in the correct direction. Use your will to hold the thought of your desire, and don’t allow a contrary thought to come into your mind. Stay completely focused on what you want.

When someone is really close to reaching their goal, something odd happens—an obstacle will show up and cause the person to quit.
My team and I see this all the time—people get so damn close to having a breakthrough, then they stop. They get exhausted, all kinds of problems show up, and their subconscious is screaming at them, trying to get them to agree with the situation and stop.
In Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill called this phenomenon being “three feet from gold,” then quitting.
In today’s episode you’ll learn:
The closer you get to having a big breakthrough, the bigger the obstacle is
Once you quit, you have to go all the way back to the beginning—and fight the same demons all over again
When you concede to one demon, you lose the strength you built on the ones prior to it, because you start to question your faith
The demon you’re battling in your mind is really mediocrity—and believing in all the lies the world tells us
The demon in your head isn’t real—and once you break through the obstacle, the lie loses its strength
You don’t need to know “how” you’re going to overcome the obstacle—but you can’t back down from it
How the movie “Whiplash” reveals where you’re at in your growth (if you’re coming from any kind of victim mindset, the movie will bring out your victim mindset)

Once you break through to the other side, all of a sudden it becomes easy. But you have to get to the point where you say, “I will not be denied my success.”

One of the biggest ways we limit our prosperity is by telling ourselves a disempowering “story” over and over again.
“Someone stole money from me…someone hurt me…my parents did this…I failed…I didn’t come from a good background…” These stories are steeped in blaming someone else for your experience. They turn into excuses that keep you from moving forward.
Even though these things happened, and they’re part of your past, they don’t have to be part of your future.

Why telling the same story is like commanding your mind to keep looking at the negative side of it
How to reframe your story so that you see the “good” in it (not just the “bad”)
You have to train yourself to be able to see the good in everything
Why you need to reach a place where nobody else is responsible for your income or how you feel—but you
Why we might have fears about taking responsibility, so we avoid doing something
Everything you want comes down to making a decision
Sales is that about selling an outcome (not a product)
