Welcome to the Focused Nutrition podcast, where we explore the latest research and expert advice on how to fuel your body for optimal health and performance. In today's episode, we're going to talk about a topic that affects many of us: stress and its impact on healthy eating.
We all experience stress at some point in our lives, whether it's from work, relationships, or other life events. Unfortunately, stress can have a significant impact on our eating habits, leading to poor food choices and unhealthy eating patterns.
When we're stressed, we tend to reach for comfort foods that are high in sugar, fat, and calories, which can lead to weight gain and other health issues. But why does stress cause us to eat unhealthy foods? One reason is that stress triggers the release of cortisol, a hormone that increases our appetite and cravings for high-calorie foods. Additionally, when we're stressed, we're less likely to make rational decisions about what we eat, opting instead for quick and easy options that are often less nutritious.
Tune in to listen to advice given by hosts Carl and Donna

Welcome to our 'This Week @ Method podcast special featuring from Pro Select Coaching Andrew Bulford.
This week's show is about girls and boys football camps during the Easter holidays! We're excited to share with you all the reasons why enrolling your child in a football camp can be one of the most fun and rewarding experiences for both them and you.
Firstly, let's talk about the social aspect of football camps. Not only will your child get the opportunity to meet new friends who share the same interests, but they'll also learn the importance of teamwork, communication and collaboration. These are invaluable skills that will benefit them not only on the soccer field, but also in all aspects of life.In addition to the social aspect, soccer camps are also an excellent way to progress your child's sporting development.
The camps are designed to cater to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players, so your child will be challenged to push themselves to their limits. Experienced coaches will provide guidance and support, ensuring that your child receives the attention they need to progress their skills and abilities. But it's not just about learning new skills. At all sessions, they prioritize fun and enjoyment for all participants. Here at Method we believe that children should love what they do, and by engaging activities and games will ensure that your child has a great time while learning and developing their soccer abilities.
Moreover, the camps offer an exclusive experience that your child won't find elsewhere. With limited availability, your child will have the opportunity to be part of a unique and special group, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Finally, we can't stress enough, like CrossFit the importance of movement and physical activity for children's health and well-being. Football is a sport that requires agility, coordination and endurance, all of which will benefit your child's overall health and fitness. By enrolling your child in a Football camp, you're not only giving them the chance to progress their skills, but you're also contributing to their physical and mental health. So, there you have it - our reasons why enrolling your child in a girls or boys football camp during the Easter holidays is an excellent idea.
With our focus on fun, socialization, skill development, exclusivity, and movement, your child will have a blast while learning and growing in a positive and supportive environment. Thanks for tuning in!
