On today's minisode, I'm talking about my auntie Alison who passed away in October at the age of 86.
Alison never had children, and was single for the last 15 years of her life after her husband passed away. But despite this, she lived a life full of joy, love, and meaning; and she most certainly wasn't lonely or alone — far from it.
I hope that this minisode brings you some comfort, and reminds you that a family of your own is not a requirement for living a life full of love, and a death surrounded by people who care about you.

On this week's Thursday Thoughts, Polly and I are talking about Mel Robbins' Let Them Theory — a simple idea that's all about letting go of the need to control or change how others think, act, or feel, about you or anything else.
The idea is straightforward: when people behave in ways you don't like — whether they doubt you, ignore you, criticise you, laugh at you, disagree with you — your best move is to just...let them.
This approach helps us to stop overthinking, trying to change other people, or taking things personally. It can ease alot of stress and give you the emotional freedom to focus on what really matters — i.e. what YOU do, say, think, and how you act.
Instead of worrying what others think, the Let Them mindset encourages you to put your energy into your own goals, growth, and happiness. It's a simple shift that can make a big difference to how you feel.
It's so easy to apply, and it's something we can all use to feel more peaceful, and live a little happier.
We really hope you'll find something useful in here!
Love,
Polly & Lucy x

On today’s Monday Motivation, Polly and I are talking about possibility.
So many of us hold ourselves back in life because we don’t think things are possible for us. We allow our limiting beliefs to convince us that this or that could “never happen for me.”
But what if we started to cultivate a mindset that believes in possibility? What if we allowed ourselves to dream that the things we truly desire ARE possible, if we just believe in ourselves, and start taking baby steps towards them?
If we fight for our limitations, we get to keep them (a wise person once said, not me!); so let’s start leaning into the possibility that we, too, are just as worthy, deserving and capable of achieving the things we dream of as anybody else.
Because, seriously, why not you? 😉
We hope you’ll find something useful in here!
Love,

On today's minisode, I'm talking about those feelings of being 'less than' that sometimes creep into our minds, even when we're happily living our single, childfree lives.
I'm also talking about how, no matter how secure we might be in who we are, being around certain people from our past can make us regress back to our 17-year-old selves.
The truth is that the power of the societal narrative around single women means that we may never be able to fully shake off the feeling that we haven't quite hit the mark in life.

On this week's Thursday Thoughts, Polly & I are talking about living intentionally.
Being intentional means cultivating awareness of how you're living and how you're showing up in the world. Without this awareness, it's easy to slip into autopilot, letting life pass us by without feeling like we're the ones in control.
But when you choose to live with intention, you become conscious of where you're directing your thoughts and your energy.
You become more present, making deliberate choices that align with your values and goals, and you reclaim control of how you respond to life's daily challenges.
We hope you'll find something useful in here!

On this week's minisode, I'm talking about finding a balance between being happily single, but also desiring a relationship.
The duality between loving your life here and now, and wanting to be in a relationship, can feel contradictory; but one does not cancel out the other.
In this episode, I share my thoughts on how we can both embrace our lives right now, whilst also holding space for the potential of romantic love.

Let’s be real — being single and child-free? It’s pretty damn awesome. Don’t believe me? Stick around. I promise you, by listening to this podcast, you’re going to start seeing your solo life in a…
I’m Lucy Meggeson, and I’m here to help you stop seeing singlehood as a consolation prize and start embracing it as the incredible opportunity that it is. Because the truth? Being single isn’t second best. It’s not a waiting room. And it sure as hell isn’t a life of lack. In fact, when you lean into it, it can be just as fulfilling—if not more so—than being coupled up with kids.
And besides, no matter what our relationship status, what we all really want is to feel good in the here and now. So instead of focusing on what’s ‘missing,’ let’s focus on what’s possible. The freedom. The adventure. The extra time and headspace to create a life that’s truly our own.
Because here’s the thing: you are so much more powerful than you realise. Your thoughts shape your reality. And when you shift your mindset, you shift your life. My mission isn’t just to help you feel better about being single—it’s to help you recognise your own agency. To help you see that you are the creator of your own experience. And that you, and you alone, get to decide what your life looks like.
So join me here every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and let’s build lives that feel joyful, meaningful, and wildly fulfilling — on our own terms.
Let’s Thrive Solo…together.
