On this week's Thursday Thoughts, Polly and I are talking about embracing ageing.
It’s time to change the narrative - and let’s face it, we’re talking about women here - that you are ‘past your sell by date’ once you hit 40, 50, 60 etc.
The truth is that age brings with it so many wonderful things, not least confidence, wisdom and experience. And can choose to embrace getting older by looking after ourselves properly, and truly owning the fact that age is just a number. Because let’s not forget the alternative…💀
Rather than focusing on external beauty, we’re better off focusing on our inner landscape, because it’s our energy and our vibrancy that actually shine through, no matter how old we are.
Women, like men, get better with age. So let’s not write ourselves off because we still have so much to give!
And finally, don’t listen to the noise. Keep doing the inner work and your true beauty will radiate from within. 🩶🖤🤍
We hope you'll find something useful in here!

This week, it's a solo episode which has nothing to do with being single and childfree! Instead, I'm talking about another topic that I'm passionate about — my morning routine.
I've started a 'morning routine club' named Cockadoodle-Lu (you can thank my sister for the name) for women who want to start their mornings off with positivity, calm, and intention, rather than beginning their days feeling flustered and stressed.
On Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesday, we're going to meet at 6am on Zoom for 30 minutes of yumminess — including meditation and gratitude — that are going to set you up for a fabulous day. Because when you win the morning, you win the day; and when you win your days, you win life!

On today's minisode, I'm talking about the idea that we get to choose happiness.
Rewind several years, and I really didn't understand the concept that I could choose to be happy. But these days, after doing alot of inner work, I fully get that we do get to make a choice about how we feel.
It's not always easy, but it's worth it, and these are my thoughts.

On this week's Thursday Thoughts, Polly & I are talking about embracing failure.
We have been conditioned to see failure as something negative, but in fact failure is an important part of the learning process, and a very necessary step along the pathway to success.
Polly & I discuss how failure gives us essential feedback, and how success is more about carrying on after a 'failure', rather than giving up.
When it comes down to it, failure is something to be embraced, rather than something to be avoided or feared.
We hope you'll find something useful in here.

My guest on this week’s episode is the fabulous Rachel Beck.
At 44, Rachel Beck is single, thriving, and living life fully on her own terms. After marrying at 26 and divorcing at 33, she spent years navigating the societal pressure to find a life partner — searching for love in the relentless New York City dating pool. From long-term relationships to exhausting hours on dating apps, Rachel discovered that she often felt more fulfilled on her own than with the people she met along the way.
In 2022, Rachel embraced a profound awakening: a relationship was not the key to her happiness or completion. This realisation led her to move back to her tiny hometown in the rural Midwest, where she traded her long career in education for something new and unexpected—working as a blackjack dealer by day, and building her podcast and business, The Feisty Heroine, by night.
Her podcast celebrates the stories of resilient women who defy societal expectations, overcome challenges, and rewrite their own narratives to live their heroine moments. Rachel’s journey is about choosing herself, embracing the unexpected, and proving that true fulfilment comes from within.

On this week's Thursday Thoughts, Lucy and I are talking about uncertainty.
Despite being interrupted by Lucy's wifi man 🤣, we discussed how the magic and excitement of life lie on the other side of uncertainty; and it’s worth taking that leap into the unknown because, more often than not, the net appears!
We hope you found something useful or interesting in here!

On this week's Thursday Thoughts, Polly & I are talking about reframing time.
Many of us see time as something we're constantly running out of, leading to stress and unnecessary pressure.
But what if we could reframe time as an abundant resource?
Instead of feeling rushed or behind, we can choose to view each moment as a gift, a new opportunity to live fully and embrace the present.
We hope you'll find something useful in here.

Let’s be real — being single and child-free? It’s pretty damn awesome. Don’t believe me? Stick around. I promise you, by listening to this podcast, you’re going to start seeing your solo life in a…
I’m Lucy Meggeson, and I’m here to help you stop seeing singlehood as a consolation prize and start embracing it as the incredible opportunity that it is. Because the truth? Being single isn’t second best. It’s not a waiting room. And it sure as hell isn’t a life of lack. In fact, when you lean into it, it can be just as fulfilling—if not more so—than being coupled up with kids.
And besides, no matter what our relationship status, what we all really want is to feel good in the here and now. So instead of focusing on what’s ‘missing,’ let’s focus on what’s possible. The freedom. The adventure. The extra time and headspace to create a life that’s truly our own.
Because here’s the thing: you are so much more powerful than you realise. Your thoughts shape your reality. And when you shift your mindset, you shift your life. My mission isn’t just to help you feel better about being single—it’s to help you recognise your own agency. To help you see that you are the creator of your own experience. And that you, and you alone, get to decide what your life looks like.
So join me here every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and let’s build lives that feel joyful, meaningful, and wildly fulfilling — on our own terms.
Let’s Thrive Solo…together.
