We are jumping into the time machine and going back a year to the El Vaquero Loco where we sat down with Leon Lutz after a great day on the trails. This is one of our favorite shows and just an all around good human. Have a listen and enjoy- we will see you next week for Episode #95.
Info and show notes are HERE.
August is already here and things are still heating up. We run down our list of cool new things you need to check out from the last Outdoor Retailers show in Salt Lake City. So many solid new companies and products as well as established companies really dialing it in. We also do the first "Studio 78 Confessional" which is a little different than we are used to.
Have a great weekend and we hope to see some people at El Vaquero Loco this weekend!

We first interviewed Gabe in February 2017 (Episode 72), at the Park City Running Company as he was about embark on a 12 hour and 18,000 feet of climbing sufferfest at the Running Up For Air race. In our initial interview we got to know Gabe as the inventor of trail running (you need to go back and listen to show #72, it’s awesome), cheese aficionado, and Hardrock lottery winner.
Of course we had to follow up on Gabe’s impressive 4th place finish at Hardrock and find out what else he has cooking for 2017

What an absolute pleasure it was to sit down with Amy in Studio 78 and talk about her race directing, balancing it all and what she plans to do when the RD life winds down. Listening to Amy talk about 5 Peaks had us all ready to head up north and run. This year they are launching a new race that looks and sounds spectacular- Round the Cape in Cape Chignecto, Nova Scotia. If you head over to 5 Peaks website and look at the photos you will see what all the talk is about.
Thank you Amy for joining us and keep up the great work. TrailManners is dreaming about some sweet trail miles with our neighbors to the north.

He Did It! We have been following Jeff Hart for the past 5 months as he prepared for the Hardrcok 100 and he was kind enough to swing by Ogden to jump into Studio 78 to give us a solid recap of the race. For Jeff it was the pinnacle of his trail running life and as he puts the race into words- you can see and hear the emotion as he recaps the journey.
Thank you Jeff for taking us along and Congrats on not only the Hardrock finish but also the engagement to Jen. You are a class act and someone who continues to inspire. On behalf of TrailManners and our listeners- we are proud to call you our friend!

Every Trail Has a Story. Every Runner Belongs.
TrailManners exists to celebrate the people, places, and experiences that make trail running special.
Since 2015, TrailManners has connected runners through authentic conversations, practical advice, gear reviews, race stories, and a shared love of dirt, mountains, and adventure. Whether you're chasing your first 5K trail race, lining up for a 100-miler, enjoying your local trails with friends, or simply looking for inspiration to get outside, you've found your community.
We're not here to tell you that you have to run farther, faster, or harder.
We're here because the trail welcomes everyone.
We believe trail running is about much more than finish times.
It's about friendships formed on long climbs, quiet mornings in the mountains, helping a stranger at an aid station, laughing after getting lost, earning the post-run meal, and realizing that every day has the potential to become your best day.
If you love trails, you're one of us.
Welcome to TrailManners.
