Old or new, every business should work on designing the right systems and improving them along the way. It's the ability to optimise systems that enables a business to evolve and stay fresh.
When you look into designing the right systems for your business, you should consider the various areas of focus that systems and technology can potentially help you streamline.
For example, there's no point in keeping your WHS (work health and safety) documentation on your desktop computer at home if you need them on site. It just doesn't make sense.
Likewise how would you go about designing the right systems to ensure that your staff are not only invoicing correctly on site, but also taking payment for the work they have completed.
Over the years, I have had a lot of experience with various tools and programs and I have implemented many successful systems into my business to ensure that it runs as efficiently as possible. To say that I have been around the block when it comes to trying out different CRM (customer relationship management) software(s) would be the understatement of the century. I do, however appreciate the importance of the successful implementation of these tools into my organisation, so to me it's well worth the investment.
In this podcast I run through a framework of the different areas of a business that require systems, with the hope that whoever listens to it, can merely adopt ONE positive change as a result.
