12 hours before the Marathon, the Gomers took some time out to record one more podcast, and here it is. Revel in the pre-race jitters! Marvel at the golf-cart near-death incidents! Recoil from the mile-high farting! And enjoy the final episode they will ever record as non-marathoners.
See you on the other side! Happy Running.
Surprise! An unnanounced, full-length bonus episode just for you from the Two Gomers: Gomerthon 2010!
There’s plenty of fun stuff in this special episode, including thoughts on how the Gomers are feeling 4 days before the race, top five marathon nutrition mistakes, “Peeps are Yucky” and “That Hurts More” memories, two more Songs to Run to, and tons of Full House chat…
…but the main reason for Gomerthon 2010 is to remind you to pledge toward our Run for a Cause. You have four more days to donate (right up until the Marathon on the morning of June 6th), so if you’ve wanted to and haven’t gotten to it yet, now is the perfect time to pledge!
Click here, or on the form at the very top and bottom of this post, to pledge per mile to the charities The Gomers have chosen: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Beautiful Child, and International Justice Mission. If you pledge $1 or more per mile, you’re entered into a drawing for a VERY RARE “Team Gomer” long sleeve T, like the ones The Gomers will be wearing at the start of the race.
And don’t forget to check out the websites for the charities to learn more about these causes that are so close to the Gomers’ hearts.
Thanks so much, and Happy Running!
It’s the week before the Marathon, and the guys are alternating between feeling nervous and feeling excited – it all depends on the size of the crayons in their dreams. Join them in their final regular episode of the season as they discuss the benefits of trail running, the power of clean kitchens, the ability of young’ns to work with accelerometers, the audacity of television premieres, and the glorious wonders of the moon, presented inexplicably with Wiimote in hand.
And of course, all your favorite sections: Week in Review, Listener Feedback, Gomers Tips, and two (or more) new Songs to Run To. Happy Running!
This week’s Monday Survey: Do you have any favorite moments of this season of the Two Gomers? Any encouraging words for them before they run on Sunday? Seriously, they need all the help they can get!
And don’t forget, you have till Saturday night to donate to our Run for a Cause – if you haven’t yet, click the link below to get on board!
Just like every one of the Gomers’ favorite shows, TGRAM is quickly nearing its end. In this super-sized, direct-to-tape penultimate episode before the marathon (yeah, yeah, we got off on the timing a little bit these past couple weeks), the Gomers process their longest run yet, the dreaded 20-miler. Good run/Bad run, anyone? Oh yeah, and there’s some Lost chat.
Plus all the regular features: Week in Review, Listener Feedback, Gomer’s Tips, Running in the Media, Runner’s Corner, and Two New Songs to Run To. How they fit it all in one hour, you ask? They didn’t. Happy Running!
This Week’s Monday Survey is a simple one: Why do you run? PLUS, don’t forget to click on the link on the right to take part in our “Running for a Cause!” Thanks!
It’s the third, and final, Two Gomers Special: Two Gomers Get Ready! The guys are pulling out all the stops to prepare themselves for the (fast) approaching Marathon, including harkening back to the tiny vestiges of running experience both had as young lads. And seriously, we’re talking tiny vestiges here.
But it’s enough to guide them through a packed Special that takes them through a journey from Ready, to Set, to GOOOOOOOO(mer). Join them as they talk through the fears, hopes, plans, doubts, questions, and reflections concerning the Minneapolis Marathon, now only four weeks away!
So download while the downloadin’s good! Click the first button to donate. Suggested donation: $2.99, but if you want to dig deep and do a by-mile donation ($26.20 or $13.10), you’d be a hero to the Gomers forever.
Then click the second button to download the special (right click on the DOWNLOAD button and select “Save target as…” or “Download Linked File”). If you donate and include your email, your name will be entered into a drawing for one of ten FastDraw water bottles from Ultimate Direction ($18 value!).
Thanks in advance! Happy Running!
It’s a shorter episode this week after the beast that was 30, and in preparation for the third special, but it’s still packed full of goodness – just like a Chicago style pizza. Gomer2 tried Jeff Galloway’s Run-Walk-Run for the first time, while Gomer1 tells his tale of a “dress rehearsal run” gone awry. Oh well, there’s always next time, right? Plus some Double Down Debrief, the value of an X in Scrabble, whether Rudy really won, and pining for re-hydrated future-food.
And all your back-to-the-basics favorites: Week in Review, Listener Feedback, and two new Songs To Run To. Happy Running!
This week’s Monday Survery: What training do you do as a runner, besides running? Weights? Cross Training? Working the ball? Let us know!
30 Episodes – that’s a milestone for the Gomers, and in this episode, they examine the significance of making it 14 episodes beyond what they’d originally planned. There’s Back to the Future talk, discussion about how short runs are easier than long ones, a Biggest Loser update, bad news about Steven’s DVR, and yes, at long last, Anthony’s True Gomer Confession Song To Run To.
Plus all your favorites – Week in Review, Listener Feedback, Songs to Run To, Running in the Media, Runner’s Corner, and a new challenge for May in Eat and Run. And, of course, Baka keeping it rizio.
This Week’s Monday Survey: Have any ideas for future Monday Surveys? What are YOU curious about? We want to know!
Both Gomers pulled out their LSRs this week (that stands for Long Slow Runs, emphasis on the SLOW), Gomer2 just barely. However, a new tactic has arisen that helped him get through the bonk – and no, it’s not imagining that he’s being chased by giant worms.
Plus: Middle School dance awkwardnesses, birthday re-giftings, coffee jitters, and (Blue) Blu-Ray releases. Huzzah!
And all your regular favorite sections: Week in Review, Listener Feedback, Running in the Media, two new Songs to Run To, and the final two Top Ten Tips from a Ten Timer. Happy Running!
This Week’s Survey:
Need a week off from running, whether you want it or not? Amidst all the iPad chat, Gomer1 has the tip just for you this week on the podcast! Hint – it has to do with summer footwear.
Gomer2 is still on his road to recovery, and he has a big, albeit slow, week to report. Also, an Anti-Gomer update, the In N Out civil war, memories of a substance called Aquaphor, and the band that may have invented reverb.
Plus, all the regular stuffs: Week in Review, Gomer’s Tips, Listener Feedback, two new Songs to Run To, and two new Tips from a Ten Timer in the Runner’s Corner. Keep plodding, and Happy Running!
This week’s Monday Survey: Do you prefer to run by yourself, or in a group or two or more? We lonely Gomers are wondering.
