This is a very special episode in partnership with Smile Makers on the science behind pleasure and all things sexual wellness. If you are someone that feels a bit sensitive around this topic then please have a listen because my guest speaks about this extremely important area of our health in such a detailed and data driven way. It was absolutely fascinating to hear how an area of the wellness industry can be so misunderstood.
In this episode I am joined by the wonderful Cecile Gasnault who has been working in the sexual wellness industry since 2016 and is a director for Smile Makers. Smile Makers is a sexual wellness brand dedicated to the pleasure of people with vulvas. It was created nearly ten years ago with the ambition to bring female sexuality out in the open and pleasure products to the shelves of mainstream retail.
It’s the only brand in this category that has never sold in sex shops and has partnered with retailers like Cult Beauty, Goop, Feel Unique and more. Cecile is a leading global speaker about female sexuality and the importance of vulvas. She launched a whole pleasure-positive sexual education programme called Vulva Talks for free in response to the many questions she would receive and to bust some of the damaging myths around this subject. She is a woman on a mission to change our understanding of how we view our sexual pleasure and it is a total delight to have her on the podcast.
Cecile has kindly offered Not Perfect listeners a 15% discount on all Smile Makers products. Please head to smilemakerscollection.com and use the code HNP15 on orders above £60.

My guest this week is a fearless leader who has spent 25 years championing women’s rights across the world. Brita Fernandez Schmidt is the executive director of Women for Women, an incredible charity that I’ve followed for years that works with women in countries facing conflict and provides them with tools to empower. She is also the author of Fears to Fierce, a women’s guide to owning her powers. It combines her own inspirational story and the women she’s met to help us all connect our truth, passion and purpose.
Brita helps to free us from our limiting beliefs, step into our power and become the leader in our own lives. She provides us with tips on how to unlock the purpose within us and how to find our ‘fierce’. She explains that one of women's biggest fears in life is that we are not enough and that we all have a tendency to change ourselves in order to be liked. She encourages us to stop waiting for others to evaluate us and to realise that we matter.
Reading Brita’s book was a truly transformative experience, she is incredible and I cannot wait for you to listen to this episode.

On today’s show we are diving deep into self-esteem and exploring the most important relationship, the one with ourselves. My guest is Stefanie Stahl, a bestselling author who is published in over 29 countries and one of the most popular psychologists and trusted experts in Germany. She has sold over two million copies of her book, The Child in You and has been number one on the bestseller list for over four years. Stefanie advocates for everyone to develop their self-awareness and perception as she believes it is the most powerful tool in improving relationships in your life.
In this episode, we discuss why self esteem is the epicentre of all our mental health problems, why we all have a basic need for attachment as well as autonomy and how the traumas that we experience in childhood (however big or small) unconsciously shape and determine our entire approach to life as adults. Stefanie shares her approach for working with - and befriending - our inner child. She explains how in getting in touch with our ‘shadow child’ and embracing our ‘sun child’, we can learn to form better relationships and become our truest self.
This was such a fascinating conversation and her book has had such a profound therapeutic impact. I can’t wait for you all to hear it.

Today I’m interviewing writer, speaker and thought leader in human potential, Peter Crone, aka ‘The Mind Architect’. I’ve been following Peter’s work for the last few years and it has had a profound impact on me along with millions of people around the world. He has worked with world-famous actors, athletes and very successful businessmen, yet what he teaches resonates with every individual. There are very few people in life who are able to sum up seemingly complex ideas about what it means to be human and make all the anxieties we face sound simple. Peter Crone is one of them.
In this episode, Peter explains his famous quote: ‘true happiness is the absence of the search for happiness’ and why being at peace with the worst case scenario means there is nothing left to fear. He goes on to explain how we can only be free when we are in complete harmony with our current circumstances. It's when we stop trying to figure everything out, that we will find freedom.
The product Peter shares is freedom and though you might wonder how an earth someone can sell freedom, this interview will show you how. His philosophy is life-changing and this is such a powerful conversation which I hope will help every single one of you.
For more on Peter Crone, be sure to follow him on Instagram @petercroneofficial and check out his website https://www.petercrone.com.

I am over the moon to be joined by Byron Katie, the founder of The Work which teaches people how to end their own suffering. She is someone whose work I’ve been following since I was 16 and when you begin to watch her talks, read her books and listen to the stories of millions of people who she has helped to challenge their thoughts, I’m sure you’ll be in just as much awe as I am.
In 1986, Byron Katie’s life changed forever. She was 43 and had been suffering from an eating disorder and suicidal depression for years, until one day the discovery of questions ultimately led her to freedom and peace. She went on to create The Work, which is a process of inquiry that allows anyone to do the same by asking themselves four key questions:
Is it true?
Can you absolutely know it’s true?
How do I react in that situation, what happens when you believe that thought?
Who would you be without that thought?
In this episode, we discuss why suffering is optional, how freedom is our true nature and how by isolating just one thought, you can find a place of truth and joy. We discuss how this simple yet powerful process of inquiry can allow us to step into a new reality that exists beyond suffering and ultimately set us free.

On today’s show, I am joined by the incredibly talented Julianne Hough. Julianne was a professional dancer before she was even 10 years old and went onto be a global icon. She's an award-winning dancing queen, singer, actress, a former judge on Dancing With The Stars and America’s Got Talent and an Emmy-award winning choreographer. On top of that she’s also a thought leader and a voice of change, inspiring millions globally to reconnect with their bodies. She recently launched KINRGY, a movement experience that utilises dance, breath work, and strength training to focus the mind and sculpt the body.
It has to be said, the first time I tried out KINRGY, I started crying. I was moving one minute and sobbing the next. I’ve never experienced anything like it. So in today's episode we’re going to find out what an earth KINRGY is, the why behind its power and how in moving your body you can upgrade your energy. While it may sound complicated, the process itself is natural and very simple and I encourage you all to experience it.

On today’s show we are diving into the moon, quite literally. My guest is Kirsty Gallagher, the wonderful author of Lunar Living. She’s a meditation teacher, inspirational speaker, life coach and a best-selling author who has recently released her Lunar Living Journal to accompany her brilliant first book.
In this episode, Kirsty describes how working with the constantly changing phases of the moon can help you to understand yourself like never before. It helps to realign everything in your own life, from knowing when to take time out to knowing when you need to make things happen. She encourages us to take lessons from the moon, as it goes through different phases each day, giving us permission to change and flow.
We discuss why so many of us struggle to sleep when there's a full moon, what the difference is between intuition and our inner critic and how journalling can be a fantastic tool for helping you to get to know yourself.
This was such a wonderful conversation and I am so in awe of the way Kirsty takes the astrology and makes it relatable. So if you’ve ever felt stuck, meaningless or want to come back into alignment with a natural cycle to help you move forward - this is the episode for you!

This week my guest is a very special woman whose work is healing the world every day. Molly Howes is a global speaker and clinical psychologist with more than three decades of experience. Through Molly’s private practice and in her writing, she explores conflict within relationships and how to heal past and present hurt. Through her research, Molly studies interpersonal aspects of depression and other mental health issues. She is the author of the globally celebrated book, A Good Apology: Four Steps to Make Things Right.
How good are you at saying sorry? When was the last time you tried to make amends? In this episode, Molly talks us through her thoughtful four step approach on how to make things right when you know you’ve done wrong. She explains that when something goes wrong between people, it doesn’t have to be the end of the story. By saying sorry we can heal the hurt between people, leading to better relationships and ultimately a happier and healthier life.
I loved this conversation and hope that by listening to Molly we can all become better apologisers.

Today I am joined by the wonderful Emmy Brunner. Emmy is a psychotherapist, personal empowerment and transformation coach, hypnotherapist, CEO of The Recover Clinic in London and the author of Trauma Redefined and soon-to-be released Find Your True Voice. I have to say this episode tingled my soul and is packed full of incredibly powerful advice.
We discuss why trauma is usually what lies at the root of mental illness and why we are usually afraid to explore it. Emmy specialises in recovering from anxiety, eating disorders and depression and in today's episode we talk about how to have a better relationship with ourselves, the red flags to look out for that are signs of unprocessed trauma and how it can also be unhealthy to overanalyse trauma. Emmy founded The Recover Clinic and strongly advocates for a holistic approach to treatment where everyone is considered as a whole, taking into account body, mind and spirit.
We also discuss her new book, Find Your True Voice and she explains what steps we can take to heal from the past. We also touch on how you can tackle mental health through a daily mindfulness practice, Emmy recommends Deepak Chopra's meditations and even speaks about the wonders of flower meditation.
Emmy is a true force for good and I hope you find this chat as healing and reassuring as I did.
