Hello Lovlies! Happy Friday! I decided to do a little mini series of solo episodes as a follow up the episode of The Never Ending Story and Releasing Fear. To provide an offering for how to begin awakening our loving, trusting selves. And it starts with the heart. Inspired by the wonderful book by Dana Quade, Doing The Thing: How Finding Your Shine Will Brighten Our World I share what she refers to as the 4 chambers of the heart and will be covering each chamber in this mini series.

On this episode I talk about the second chamber of the heart which allows us to find our Divine inner adult, The Clear Heart. I share the importance of having a clear heart rather than a heart muddled and clouded by fear and self pity. A Clear heart allows you to engage in life with objectivity & reason. When your heart is clear you don't think personally by deciding that you're not going to be the victim of anyone's behavior. When your heart is clear you find great love and appreciation for You.

A friend said to me awhile back that Fear is a liar. I considered it and figured, ya, I suppose that's true. Yet the more I thought about it, it didn't work for me. I don't think that Fear is lying, I think Fear is the voice of a scared, wounded part of ourselves that is trying to keep us safe in a backwards way. This past weekend I felt this very strongly as I had a revelation that the only the only thing keeping me fully enjoying my life and being happy, is the voice of fear. And I made a pact with myself to let it end here. To release the cloak of fear that often feels wrapped around me.

On this solo episode I share some further insights into fear, the wounded voice, and how to heal it. Of course touching on the general themes of this year, 2025, that relate to ending the Never ending story of our lives and why NOW is the time to let it end and tell a new story. I also share a few oracle cards which I pulled earlier in the week which aligned with the message and I pull an oracle card for the audience!

Hello My Fabulous Listeners!

I'm using this week's solo episode to share an update on the show's episode schedule/format! I've been releasing guest episodes for nearly 4 years, WHOA! This past Wednesday I did not as I have decided to move to bi-weekly guest episodes. I've realized I need to adjust my episode release schedule as I will be back on the road for a few months this Summer and won't have enough to release guest episodes weekly. So just a heads up that i will now release 2 guest episodes and 4 solo episodes a month. As you know keeping up this show takes a lot of time and energy and I'm figuring out a balance that works for me rather than letting it go completely.

Overwhelm is a word that has come up a lot this week, for myself and clients, so I thought it would be the perfect topic for this week's solo episode! It got me thinking about the difference between overwhelm and full on burn out/breakdown and if there is a way to prevent both. My take is that overwhelm is inevitable and burn-out/breakdowns can be prevented. I talk about the latter in this episode yet mostly I focus on navigating overwhelm; preventative measures and tips to maneuver through it.

On this solo episode I explain that when I say overwhelm I'm referring to the state where you can feel the cortisol (stress hormone) running through your body and find yourself having trouble remaining calm, civil, and not snapping or straight up yelling at others. It's a natural response to being pushed to your limit and having too much stress yet it's still important to understand and know how to work through. I give examples of my past week that led me into overwhelm and a client's account of managing 2 sick children under 2 and rightfully facing overwhelm as well.

Do you prefer to have a lot going on around you rather than to be in a still, quiet house? TV on or podcast playing on your phone while you go about chores? Many of us are more comfortable with vibrancy rather than stillness. It can feel too quiet which can sometimes feel lonely. These are normal preferences, neither right nor wrong. Yet is it possible to become a bit dependent on noise, movement, possibly chaos & even dysfunction to feel agreeable? The world within us vibrates at the same frequency as the world around us. If we became accustomed at an early age to being in a household with a lot of yelling fighting, chaos and dysfunction, that could become the state that we feel most comfortable within.

On this episode I explore the concept of being addicted to chaos and dysfunction. This can mean not feeling comfortable in a relationship unless it's very tumultuous, toxic, or intense. Or always finding yourself in friendships and work environments with a lot of drama or instability. Essentially this comes down to feeling more at home with a nervous system that is dysregulated rather than a regulated system. It is possible to begin to shift into a more stable, peaceful baseline and enjoy healthy relationships and home life. I'll give you some tips on how to do so and to break the cycle of the addiction to chaos.
