What exactly does the report say about China's foreign policy? What are the plans and strategies of the 20th CPC National Congress to guide China's foreign policy moving forward? The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) opened Sunday morning at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping delivered a report to the congress on behalf of the 19th CPC Central Committee. In the report he summarized the work of the CPC in the past 10 years and set out its main tasks in the future.

What are some of the specifics from the report? How will it guide the future work of the CPC? Host Liu Kun is joined by Sultan Hali, a retired Air Force officer in Pakistan and author of the book "Hundred years of Communist Party of China", and Wang Zhengxu, Professor of Political Science with Fudan University.

China has been actively involved on the international platform over past decade, establishing itself as a major player in global development. It has dutifully participated in the affairs of multinational organizations, such as the UN, the IMF and the World Bank. It also initiated the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Belt and Road Initiative and a few other global governance mechanisms.
