About half of U.S. workers are "quiet quitters," according to a new Gallup Poll.

"Quiet quitters" aren't really leaving their jobs. Instead, they are quitting the idea of going above and beyond at work, and declining to do tasks they are not being paid for. It's deemed a response to hustle culture and burnout.

Why is this concept getting so much attention? And why exactly are so many Americans "quiet quitting" their jobs?
