    I went out to the hazel wood，

    Because a fire was in my head，

    And cut and peeled a hazel wand，

    And hooked a berry to a thread；

    And when white moths were on the wing，

    And moth-like stars were flickering out，

    I dropped the berry in a stream

    And caught a little silver trout.

    When I had laid it on the floor

    I went to blow the fire aflame，

    But something rustled on the floor，

    And some one called me by my name：

    It had become a glimmering girl

    With apple blossom in her hair

    Who called me by my name and ran

    And faded through the brightening air.

    Though I am old with wandering

    Through hollow lands and hilly lands，

    I will find out where she has gone，

    And kiss her lips and take her hands；

    And walk among long dappled grass，

    And pluck till time and times are done

    The silver apples of the moon，

    The golden apples of the sun.

因胸中燃起的一团火


砍断树枝剥去树皮


将一枚浆果串起


当白色的飞蛾飞舞


如同飞蛾般的繁星也开始闪烁


我把浆果抛进溪流


却捉起一条银色的鳟鱼


我把鱼儿扔在地上


去将火苗吹旺


但闻地上沙沙作响


还有人将我的名字呼唤


鱼儿变成了若即若离的姑娘


头戴苹果花的姑娘


她呼唤了我的名字却又跑掉


渐渐消失在天色微亮


尽管青春已逝的我在流浪


走过旷野走过山峦


但我依旧会去寻觅她的去向


亲吻她的双唇牵住她的双手


走过阳光斑驳的草丛


去把月亮的银苹果采撷


去把太阳的金苹果采撷


直到时间停滞时代完结
