前几天看美剧《初来乍到》，里面有一集讲的是女主写的书，并没有大卖，灰心丧气的她只能找其他事情分散自己的注意力。这时恰逢她的好朋友刚刚生完宝宝，女主自告奋勇要帮助自己的好朋友“坐月子”。这期间发生了很多令人啼笑皆非的事情。说起“坐月子”，别说是外国人，在中国“坐月子”对妈妈们来讲都是一件在心理和生理上都比较痛苦的事情。

那么坐月子的英文该怎么说呢？如何在不用英文解释“Zuo Yue ZI”这三个音的情况下，让老外瞬间知道什么是坐月子呢？今天我们就来学习下关于“坐月子”的英文表达。

中国悠久的“坐月子”文化，是一种很独特的文化现象，不像香蕉就叫banana，能在国外找到对应的参照物，在说英语的世界里，根本就不存在像我们中国这样硬核的坐月子文化，所以，当华盛顿邮报介绍起中国的“坐月子”时，是这样的：
