In this episode, Andrea, Jeff, and I discuss our experiences crewing for Joe during the Cocodona 250 race. We talk about how we were selected as crew members and how we got to know each other before the race. We share our initial worries and nervousness about crewing, but also our excitement. Discussing the importance of trust and open communication between the runner and the crew. We share about the challenges faced, including sleep deprivation and nutrition issues. We also highlight the unbreakable bond that formed between us and the memorable moments we experienced during the race. We reflect on our memorable experiences during the Cocodona 250 race, including witnessing the leaders come in at Crown King and exploring different parts of Arizona. We express their gratitude for the opportunity to help Joe and repay him for all he has done for them. We discuss the dynamics of their crew, emphasizing the teamwork and support they provided each other, and also share their thoughts on whether we would crew again and what they would do differently. Finally, they discuss the importance of the running community and the sense of camaraderie and support they experienced as part of the tribe of runners.
