An unexamined life is not worth living.

未经审视的生活是不值得过的。

Socrates believed that living a life where you live under the rules of others, in a continuous routine without examining what you actually want out of it is not worth living. This illustration of a lifestyle is what Socrates would describe an unexamined life. 苏格拉底相信如果你活出别人给的规则或日复一日的生活而不去审视自己在生命中想要获得什么的话，这样的生活是不值得活的。

How did you get into astrology?

（英语访谈4:50开始）

Lily: Okay, tell us more about yourself. 和我们多说下自己。

Bella: All right. Well as you know, I have many dreams and many passions, , but astrology has always been something that fascinated me. But it felt, it never felt within reach. I always felt I needed to find someone, an astrologer to give me the answers. And it was really frustrating cuz I had gone to a few different astrologers and they all kind of had their own opinions, but conflicting views. And I'm like, why is this so difficult to just find answers? And I remember one day was, it was during 2020, I had always known about astrology, but I didn't study it deeply until the pandemic. There was some great conjunction of two planets coming together and I knew nothing about it. But all of a sudden I was so excited about these planets coming together. I was telling everyone, I was like, these planets are gonna align and da da da.

And I got so passionate and people were like, well, what does it mean? I was like, well, I'm not really sure, but I'm so excited that the planets are coming together. And then I stopped for a second and I'm like, wait a minute. Where is this excitement coming from? Where is this enthusiasm coming from? There has to be something to this. So I'm like, well, why don't I just become my own astrologer? Why don't I start studying and figure out what all these planetary alignments mean? Cuz there's obviously something in me that it's sparking this fire in me that I should follow. And I always knew that you should just follow the things that bring you joy, that bring you excitement. And that's exactly what I did. And I never knew it was gonna lead to what it has led to for me. So I'm really happy that I went after that.

I explored that enthusiasm. I was like, where is this coming from? So that's how I got into astrology. But also just through dating and real feeling out, there's certain signs that I just connect with and it's always the same signs. And then there's certain signs that I just feel were on a different dimension or plane and it’s always the same sign. I'm like, there has to be something to this too. Why is it that I only get along with certain signs? It just opened up this Pandora's box. And then I learned so much more about myself, more about others. Now I feel more understanding and compassionate towards people because of astrology. And a lot of people, they don't believe in it or whatever. But once you get really deep and you start looking into the history of it and see how so many different crazy historical events happened while these planets were aligned, you start to notice patterns and then you learn about yourself and you're like, wow, this explains so much.

Now I know myself at this deeper level, I don't think astrology is necessary, but it's really a powerful tool to get to know you, to become more self-aware, to become more compassionate. And it's worked really well for me. So I highly recommend it to anyone who's trying to have a deeper understanding of the world, of themselves, of energy, of the changes and how everything's a cycle. That life is a cycle, History  It repeats itself. Everything moves in cycles and the planets move in cycles. So they kind of show us what's going on in our lives and we're gonna go through ups, we're gonna go through downs. We're gonna feel this way and that way it's like it's not just up, up or down down down. Life is just, yeah, it's a cycle. And that's what astrology is. It's the cycle of the planets. So…

Lily: Exactly through your voice, I can just feel that passion and then just want to feel like the same excitement that you feel. That’s amazing. Yeah, it's true that we are here to just learn more about ourselves, I think who say that know thyself, right? There's a saying, know thyself is really, really the most important thing in our life. Nothing more, you know, give life meaning, life is no meaning. You give it meaning.
