The journey to start advocating for myself happened after returning from the hospital with a severe allergic reaction, to myself. It was hard to believe and understand because I was consistently named as one of Pennsylvania’s top 50 female attorneys, I had been inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers and I’d also just started a media career as a legal expert making appearances on TV news.  But also at the time, I was on back-to-back trials, under pressure, and in a bad relationship. 

Anyone looking at me from the outside would have thought I had it all: a great job, six figure salary, a boyfriend, a condo, a media career, but I wanted more. I knew I wanted to write a book, to start a podcast, to use my psychology degree, to have a relationship with someone who was more supportive. It was at this point that I decided that no-one else was going to help me, so I had to help myself and become my own advocate.
