Oxytocin is the love hormone and is the key to owning our own happiness and peace. It is virtually impossible to care about being right and also be deeply happy. The need for and the receiving of external validation may temporarily shift you out of anxiety but the brain chemical released is: dopamine...the chemical of never enough. Instead, cultivating oxytocin through activities such as snuggling, creating, spending time with people you love, practicing kindness and compassion, and using psychoactive psychedelics can help promote oxytocin and make it possible to own your peace and happiness rather than borrowing it from other people.
