While most twelve year olds were playing with LEGO, James McConnell Jr began his ecommerce journey by selling them on Bricklink. Seven years into his adventures in ecommerce, James started using the Amazon marketplace & FBA program for its scalability. He started, like many, in books and retail arbitrage, then scaled into online arbitrage & wholesale.

A master in supply chain management, James graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019 with a B.S. in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from the University of North Texas. Most recently, when everyone was scrambling for storage space during the pandemic of 2020, James established Marketplace Prep, a third party logistics company.

James’s early eCommerce experience, self-learning curious mindset, and intuition has led him to delve into new ventures and challenges to stay ahead of the industry trends. For fun, he loves learning new ski building award winning art pieces, and networking with people to further his business curiosity. In business, his applied use of process re-engineering, data analytics, algorithm/process study, has helped him consult, work with, or partner with some of the largest sellers across many marketplaces. Over the numerous years in business, James has established himself as an expert in detailed operational processes, unique to Amazon and other marketplaces that likely get overlooked by other sellers.

By taking complex concepts and breaking them down into simple, actionable plans, James has consulted with sellers to help them understand their business better using data and process improvement to drive business growth.
