One day, one of my coworkers told me that our boss had suddenly changed our scheduled meeting time to 11. Believing my coworker, I went to the meeting at 11 exactly. To give you more background information, both my coworker and I had submitted a proposal to our boss, and he was going to choose which proposal to follow at that meeting. In order to have her proposal selected, my coworker had lied to me, saying the meeting was to start at 11; in fact, it had started even early, at 9. Therefore, in the end, my coworker’s proposal was chosen over mine.

故事（一）老闆最愛出張嘴

This is a story about a supervisor who is completely full of himself. He always leaves the dirty work to his subordinates. For example, he wants to sell a product to a client, but in fact, the company doesn’t make this product. So（口語so才可以開頭，文書時請使用Therefore較為正式）obviously it’s impossible to sell this product to the client in the first place. He is just exaggerating what the company can do. Despite this, the supervisor refuses to take responsibility and instead forces his subordinates to apologize to the client for being unable to provide the product.

When asked why he wanted to sell the product despite knowing that there was no product to sell, he just made excuses, saying he wanted to try anyways and just talked out of his rear end.

《字源》

jammy devil 這個字是來自於一個英國的點心餅乾叫 Jammy Dodger。

（那種西式喜餅禮盒裡面一定有這類型的餅乾，中間有紅色的莓果醬）

而Jammy 是果醬的意思。那為什麼這個餅乾會叫Dodger？

英國有一本非常有名的兒童漫畫雜誌叫Beano，

（英國最暢銷也是最長壽的漫畫雜誌之一，它從1938年就開始發行直到現在，每個星期都會更新，1950年每週銷售量高達197萬本，非常的驚人）

而 Beano 中的其中一個主角叫 Roger the Dodger。

他每次都能僥倖地逃過一些災難，

（個人覺得覺他有點像是西方板的多拉A夢中的大雄）

所以就用這個可愛又幸運的角色命名餅乾： Jammy Dodger

而 狗屎運 jammy devil 的 devil 則是因為好玩在後期加上去的。
