Email from a Viewer: "I have been listening to your videos as I have gone through narcissist abuse, and it's been very hard. Your videos are great help. I have been NC (no contact) for 1 week but I feel miserable and I miss him....he doesn't want me he blocked me every where. And then when I asked, he was very proud and said yes I did block you because you're a physco - really really hurtful comments - and then threatened me that he will leave me. All i told him was that he has treated me so badly. He was listening but showed no empathy. I was hurt and then he said I will unblock you later ....

After that I haven't contacted him it's been 1 week I feel really low no energy: please help ?

Email from a Viewer: Everything you're saying makes so much sense.

I have been living with (Narcissist) husband and (narcissist) step-son for 37 years.

Finally, what I have been dealing with has a label!

I have been very isolated and depressed because of this situation. I actually felt like I was losing my mind, or worse.

Not being able to have an adult conversation with either of them (without arguments) or having them deflect back to my shortcomings is exhausting in itself. Ive just learned to not talk. Now, I may find strategies that will help me.

Having healthy self-esteem means that you have confidence. You feel sure in what you can do. You like who you are as a person and you respect yourself. It means that you can see the value of being you.

Self-esteem is important because how you view yourself guides what you believe and how you feel. It also impacts how others feel about you. Unfortunately, there are narcs that can latch onto your self-esteem and drain it dry.

Alienation from your friends and family members is just one more way that a toxic narcissist will abuse you. Everyone needs a certain amout of social and interpersonal connection and contact to maintain a healthy emotional state - and the truth is, this need is nearly equallly important as other basic survival needs like food, water and sleep.

When we don't get it, we start seeing symptoms of depression, such as anger, insomnia, loss of appetite, increased appetite or low energy.

If we are subject to chronic alienation from our family in friends, we tend to find ourselves dealing with the standard stages of grief, including anger, denial, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

Why You Will Probably Fail

Say you want to create a YouTube channel that will make you lots of money so you can quit your day job. It's a common enough ambition so maybe you can relate.

The usual way to go about this is to create a YouTube channel using what you know about technology and to then start uploading videos. If you're very, very, very lucky (or just highly talented) then you'll be seen by the right person, maybe go viral and your channel will be a massive hit.

But in most cases? Unfortunately that's just not going to happen.

The reason for this is that you'll have no experience and that the odds are very firmly stacked against you. Being recognized on YouTube is very difficult because there are millions of other channels out there.

Why do narcissists cross all your boundaries? Setting Boundaries With a Narcissist

One of the most difficult aspects of being tangled in a narcissist's web is learning to set firm boundaries with them. Narcissists typically have poor boundaries themselves; they like to win and maintain power, and they don't like others setting boundaries on them. They even feel above the boundaries of the law -- they don't follow court orders and they find personal boundaries easy to violate.

If you're in a relationship with a toxic narcissist, or have ever been in one, you might have a few boundary issues, am I right?

Have you ever thought about the boundaries you had for yourself and your life before you met the narcissist versus the ones you have now, or that you had during the relationship?

Wait. Before you answer that, let me clarify something.

I'm not talking about the fun or silly "I'll never wear bell bottoms" kind of boundary here (had it, crossed it, can't wait to do it again, y'all).

I'm talking about the serious, intrinsic, deep down in your gut, "gotta stick to it or your tummy will hurt" kind of boundary.

So, let me ask you - have your basic personal standards changed (or been altered) as a result of a relationship with a toxic narcissist?
