Ginny Maccoll is an actress, dancer, and competitive athlete in both Ninja and swimming. She began her career in NYC as a dancer in the hit Broadway show, Pippin, in 1974. She then transitioned into the commercial world and did over 100 national and regional commercials throughout the 70s and 80s.

After a 20-year hiatus to raise her family and work in radio, Ginny rekindled her acting career in retirement in Southport, NC, and also began strength training, inspired by her daughter, Jessie Graff, who has gone farther than any female on American Ninja Warrior.

At 63 years old, Ginny did her very first pull up and later competed on American Ninja Warrior, Season 9, 10, 15, and 17 making history at age 71 as the oldest person to complete an obstacle. She was named the oldest competitive female ninja athlete in the 2024 Guinness Book of World Records!

Ginny continues to compete regionally in ninja competitions and local, state and national swim meets. She also appeared as Evelyn, one of Diane Keaton's 8 cheerleaders in the movie POMS, and Dorothy in USS Christmas on Hallmark’s Movie and Mysteries channel!

This is a special episode we are releasing as a tribute to my friend Jon Absey, the original Jazz Bear, who passed away on January 31, 2026. This episode includes the episode we recorded with him in October, 2020.

We'll miss you Jon. Your light was bright, and you left quite the footprint here on Earth.

Jon is a beacon in the community, known for his role as playing Bear, and for giving back to the community through various charity endeavors. We discussed his favorite stunts and antics, which lifestyle practices helped him recover from such a demanding career, and why he felt so strongly about giving back. Jon is a dear friend, and someone we were lucky enough to train for a few sessions, and we were so grateful to learn from him, and take his kind wisdom with us.

Benjiman Boyd is a graduate researcher and metabolic health advocate dedicated to exploring the intersection of diet and neurometabolism.

With over seven years of personal experience successfully managing ADHD and depression through a ketogenic lifestyle, he brings a unique blend of lived insight and academic rigor to the field. Dr. Christopher Netzel is board certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology, practicing at Costal Health Specialty Care in Jacksonville,  FL.

His medical residency in anesthesiology was completed at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison. Dr. Netzel is a member of a number of medical associations, including the North American Neuromodulation Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Wisconsin Medical Society, among others.

Dr. Netzel utilizes whole-food, low-carbohydrate, healthy fat, and ketogenic diets as a component of a multidisciplinary approach to address metabolic syndrome within the context of chronic pain. Through this approach, improvements in many types of pain have been observed, likely due to  weight control, decreased inflammation, enhanced glycemic control, and potentially improved neuronal function.

Dr. Cory Jenks earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of South Carolina in 2011. Since then, he has practiced as a retail pharmacist, outpatient clinical pharmacist, and inpatient clinical pharmacist. His most recent practice was as an ambulatory care clinical pharmacy specialist, where he applied his passion for lifestyle interventions in the management of chronic disease.

In addition to his career as a pharmacist, Cory is also an accomplished improv comedian, having started on his comedy journey in 2013. Since then, Cory has coached, taught, and performed improv for thousands of people. He is the author of two books, including his first book Permission to Care- Building a Healthcare Culture that Thrives in Chaos.

Today, Cory travels around the country speaking and teaching other healthcare professionals how to apply the valuable skills of improv comedy to create a more adaptable, empathetic, and humanizing healthcare experience. Cory lives in Tucson, Arizona with his family!
